If Ogadenia which has different language, religion and ethnic then Ethiopia isn't recognized, What basis is there for Somaliland who is the same ethnic, language and religion as Somalia ?

Why would it be reconginez when they don't even reconginez other Somalis as their fellow country man,. One tribe can not be a country , untill they give up tribalism and start building a real country without tribal elections no recognizing. To join Somalia again is not a good option. But to have recognition Somaliland needs to stop one tribal elections and the one tribe democracy. lol . There is no country in the world where a tribe calls itself a goverment or a country. They only give citizenship to their own tribe only. Other tribes are not part of Somalia or nether Somaliland. Where should the other Somalis go then if they can not be part of Somalia becouse they are from that and that tribe , are you building a country for one tribe ?? Where should a Somali who is born in Hargeisa go ? Even if his family happens to be the isaaq clan but he himself happens to be from another tribe becouse his mother married someone from another tribe , where do you but that child , in Europe he would have gotten English, Dutch, German or what ever citizenship in the country that he is born, but in somaliland they ask your tribe first even if you are born there or you are born there and moved back from Europe to Somaliland for example, you are a European citizen but you can not be a citizen of your own motherland , where should they go??? Somaliland and Somalia were two separately independent countries born from two different colonial powers namely Britain and Italy for over a century, then joined to make the Somali Republic in 1960. Somaliland independence preceded 5 days before Somalia, thus in respect to African colonial boundaries according to former OAU and present AU Charters. The terms of unity were immediately violated by Somalia, particularly power sharing, a fundamental principle to union of states, where among other things the 1st two presidents and the first two prime ministers were taken by Somalia. These then leaders and Somalia dominated legislative dumped the proposed Act of Union and other conditions of unification. The Dec/1961 coup d'état attempt and revolt in northern Somalia are typical examples of Somaliland people's dissatisfaction on the Unification process. Almost all development and social infrastructure such as factories, universities, hospitals etc. were established in Somalia, leaving a complete neglect of Somaliland people. Just when things seemed more fair and for the first time Somaliland was given the post of prime minister in 1969, the military made a coup within months to sabotage this. From there started 20 years of oppression which ended to a massive genocidal campaign to the people of Somaliland, Then Somaliland pop. estimate of 2million, 1/4m died, 1m became internally displaced and 1/2m became refugees mainly hosted in Ethiopia. This situation prompted an all out armed struggle. Without grievance of all that happened, and dictator regime ousted in Jan/1991, Somalia once again violated the agreement of the liberation forces, whereby then the people of Somaliland came together and made their minds. This has resulted the Somaliland people to disband the union and restore its lost sovereignty in May/1991, by declaring the Republic of Somaliland to restore their independence. Since then Somaliland has been peaceful, independent and democratic country. Somaliland reconciled its peace, combated with piracy and terrorism, and built its destroyed country from the scratch with least outside assistance. Somaliland has its constitution, own currency, Passport, national flag and estimable national development plan. Somaliland people made everything that an independent country needed, and sought international recognition from the world for over 30 years. Ever since the reclamation of its freedom, Somaliland has been neutral and did not interfere Somalia affairs, whereas the later has done all sorts of things to aggravate Somaliland. Now Somaliland has become tired of the futile talks with Somalia (13 rounds over the last decade and Somalia never fulfilling their part), therefore compelling Somaliland to take different approach. After 63 years of destruction and wasted time, Somaliland now exists and clearly knows its enemy which will be fought to the last breath. Also Somaliland will strive for their strong and legal cause to take their rightful place in the world, and will continue DOING EVERYTHING to achieve this. Somaliland is forever whether its recognized or not and there is NO GOING BACK....Long live the African Unity, Long live the independence of Somaliland Thank you for the upload.
