Dollar one sounds like 40 bucks. But the klon sounds about 200 bucks. Not 5k😂

I may be wrong, but the Centaur on your shirt is identical to the Chinese copy. Look at the tail on the logo of your real Klon. Not the same.

Nice Comparison! First, if I spent $5000 grand on that pedal, it would be instant divorce for me and me and my all guitar 🎸 stuff would end up in the driveway! Second, I did the smart thing, I ordered the clone for the cheapo money 💰 honey 🍯 LOL!! I’ll still be married tomorrow!😅

The smaller one is a a knock off from Japan. A few things here: #1. This all come down to a few transistors and such the parts are actually very cheap no matter where you get them.
#2. Anything from America is massively over priced. #3. Anything from Japan is made of the very cheapest parts. It all depends on what you're buying. Somethings are better to get from one place, some are better from the other. If you're at home play for fun or are you touring in a band. One will work as intended but probably fall part after time. One will take a pounding for many years to come.

The real one sounds bigger, fuller, brighter, and overall much better.

The original is amazing, but the knockoff seems to be a great distortion pedal for the money.

The clone klon sounds way better in this test then it does on other videos, yea I would buy the clone for $29 for that tone. But I would also love the original. Maybe you got lucky with your clone centaur.

Meh. The difference is actually huge, in clarity and bite that original has. There are much better clones there. Probably the whole difference is caused because manufacturer wanted to make it as cheap as possible, so there is some opamp or diode in the circuit of lower quality. Likely, if it was 10$ more expensive, it could be made to sound identical.

I don't get why it's impossible for a pedal manufacturer to just copy the Klon exactly and sell it for $150.

Finished building the kit of this from Amazon today. It matches up with the schematic of one that was sacrificed in the name of reverse engineering that is out on the web. My electronics skills surpass my guitar skills (by far), but I'm pretty happy to have one that was affordable, sounds decent, and that I built myself from a kit.

I have that cheap knockoff in my possession currently, and while I don't have a real Klon to A/B test against- this cheap lil thing is pretty good!

Now put a fuzz in front of it and check it again

Better get a Wish Klone now, so you'll have one when the price on those skyrockets.
