I’m not a Glock fan boy, but I definitely agree with you on your Glock opinion! They may not be pretty they may not be a lot of things, but they are Uber reliable rugged one don’t cost an arm and a leg. The best seller nowadays is still the 43X out selling every other Glock. It and the 19 GEN 5 are money! . Not to mention all the new hybrid 19, 49 etc. etc. as long as they don’t start charging too much or get some fucked up idea from Smith and Wesson how to make their gun better and different. Leave semi perfection alone.

love it when you make 80s/90s pop culture references. Gun review channels are a dime a dozen, but your snark and wit combined with your Xennial references keep me coming back for more. Doesn't hurt that I agree with 90+% of your reviews/opinions

I have to admit, I don't own very expensive guns, but I do own several. I have a Hi-Point JXP 10 and I simply love the gun. As soon as I purchased it, I oiled it and have shot about 140 rounds off different kinds of ammo so far with ZERO malfunctions. It shoots straight and I have let my friends shoot it also. Everyone loves it and love that it costs $200. Thanks James because I love all of your reviews and believe that your opinion really means a lot. People don't hate on Hi-Point just because you can buy more expensive guns. Some Hi-Points deserve more respect.

List of the best guns, spends 5 mins. talking about Glocks being awesome and their competitors also-rans, mentions the name of the Glock 49 and then says nothing else about it at all. Oh, plus the other four are all companies he's visited recently. Yeah, this is a list of sponsors, not guns.

I've had less than 5 malfunctions with any Glock over the last 30 years. They were all caused by crappy ammo but I wouldn't bet my life on.

Top reasons to own a Hi-Point.

1. When the lives you're defending are important, but not THAT important...Hi-Point

2. When sometimes and maybe are good enough...Hi-Point.

3. Hi-Point...because it's only fair to give the other guy a chance.

4. Leave this earth doing what you love, and if you love armed robbery, and car jacking, well...Hi-Point

5.Reliability is boring, live on the edge...Hi-Point

6. When you want to threaten someone, but you don't want to scare them too badly...Hi-Point

James, I gotta say, you are my favorite gun tuber. That being said, you and Glock should get a room already. As a former Glock guy, I embraced all the things you do back in the 80’s. But for god sakes it’s 2024!!! The Glock hasn’t really become more refined and others have caught up and dare I say it, offer more value than Glock for less. They established a great reputation but for the last 20 years, they have lived on that rep. Other guns are as reliable and where Glock had carved out a niche for itself, they now have lots of equally good competition. The sights are so so and plastic. The trigger is as abysmal as when it was introduced. The guide rod is plastic. It’s top heavy, blocky…definitely not a pretty pistol. You would think that 40 years after its introduction, they might have accomplished a bit more.

Most reliable gun at the most reasonable price point. My brother in Christ they are non optic ready white dot sights that haven't had major innovations in 40 years and yet the price is on par with SIG, who has optics cut tritium sights with a modular firearm. If Glock was priced for the features it gives its $300 for $575

I can’t be mad that a Hi-Point made it on the list, only because it’s a 10mm. I like the 10mm, was issued a S&W 1076 back in the day, and have carried a 10mm since. (Not a S&W though, those 1076s were clunky, shooting a 10mm round from a Smith was likely similar to a lady getting an abortion with a coat hanger😂)

YA know, as "cheaply" made as it is I gotta give S&W a lot of credit for their RESPONSE 9 mm PCC. It is internally well made even if the glass-filled "engineering grade polymer" receiver feels "cheap". It ain't gonna get hot, it's light and it's practical as hell as an action housing.Qnd yes, there's the "cheap" polymer forearm. Again it does the job well.
But I guess my favorite thing about the RESPONSE is the cool GLOCK mag adaptor. WELL designed, plus, you know, GLOCK mags.
Compared to may reliable boat anchor heavy RUGER PC chassis carbine the RESPONSE is feather light but still just as reliable.
That's an accomplishment to combine "cheap" (OK, inexpensive) and reliable in one firearm.

I normally buy guns like money is no object, top optics, lwrci, radian model 1s, maxim uppers on radian lowers. I was looking at the m4 and the 1301. While I wanted them it was more easy to get the A300, I love the beveled loading, the price difference, and the mlok. It’s a monster and I’m happy throwing a streamlight on there using the irons it comes with.

If you ask me, a reasonable price for a brand new Glock 19 Gen 3 should be no higher than US$300 tax included. But it is. I would have been happy with one for that price, but what they go for is absolutely insanely high for what you get.

Ответить

@Not_a_NaN - 02.01.2024 22:08

How are Glocks reasonably priced?! They were designed 40 years ago and still cost an unreasonable amount more than some much better, much more modern, much more reliable, much better quality pistols.

The 1301 is a massive, bulky, expensive block of a shotgun. Not a fan. I would rather get 6 Maverick 88s and tweak each one for a different role.

Well waddya know the 80x and the Glock 49 were both on my short list of guns to buy. Those and a M9A4 and Colt Python are the next 4 handguns I want. I also want a 19x but only for the color. Considering the 49 is a backwards 19x I wish they also made it in Coyote tan. I literally don’t even like the 19x, the 49 makes so much more sense, but I really like the color lol.

Ответить
@SuperD00D
@SuperD00D - 02.01.2024 09:20

That 80x seems nice af.

its a great gun if you know the proper .380 ammo and how much smoother they run, both the slide and the trigger, compared to polymer striker fired guns, how good the ballistics you will get compared to other .380 guns, and how low it will recoil without any modifications. I have .380 ammo that passes fbi heavy clothing from an LCP at 250 fpe, 12.5” penetration, 0.52” expansion, and great wound channel.
280 fpe from shield ez. Should be over 300 from the 80x which is 9mm and .38 sp +p territory
