Green dots need less color tint in order for the green light to reflect off the inside of the glass. Red is a lower wave length of light than green, and therefore you need a blueish hue to off set that low energy, so more light is reflected to the user's eye by blocking it from transmitting through the glass. It makes the red "pop" as blue blocks red light better.
For night vision use, the lens for the green reticle will be coated to block/ reflect green colors - like the reticle AND your green phosphor NODs. That's why the red reticle'd dot sight works better.
Great infovid. Thanks!
ОтветитьI was leaning towards the 6MOA myself as well. From a retail RMR site, they reported that overall, people with an astigmatism report that the green color is more “friendly” plus uses less power and distorts less. I realize as you pointed out, “no two eyes are the same” and you lean towards the Red Dot however. Great content and info. My first choice is the EPS-Carry-GR-6 and this breakdown has been very helpful! Thank you!!
ОтветитьThe 6 moa is still smaller and more precise than any pistol front sight post. With that said and having used both, I still prefer the 2moa dot. It just works for me.
ОтветитьI have the EPS Carry Green MRS and a 507 X2 Green MRS. Both are quite good. They are a little criper and smear somewhat less than the 507x2 Red MRS.
ОтветитьWent with green because of red color blind😂
ОтветитьVery in-depth review! Great work! Thanks
ОтветитьCovered some great points. Thanks!
ОтветитьMan just ordered an EPS and EPS carry both MRS. Kinda wish I got the 6 MOA dot for my carry gun for the reasons you mentioned, those were my exact thoughts too. Bigger dot for carry = easier to pick up faster.
ОтветитьI almost pulled the trigger on one of these last night 🌙
ОтветитьVery helpful information. Thank you.
ОтветитьThanks bro. I’ve watched countless videos to find which I should put on my pistol and after watching this I know exactly what I’m going to run on my pistol, carbine & rifle. Thanks bro. Your the truth!
ОтветитьOk. 6 moa red for pistol. 2 moa green for rifle
ОтветитьBigger and better reveal than the talking Baklava.
ОтветитьLove your content... So here's the question: if you had white phosphor or a Sionyx Opsin would you have clear passive aiming through the green dot?
ОтветитьI wonder if the tint varies...I've had a few, all red, all EPS Carry, all 6MOA, and one seemed to have more like 25% more tint than the others. **I didn't really notice until I shot at an indoor range once and was going for tiny groups at 20Y.
ОтветитьBest dot review I’ve found on YT. Thanks
ОтветитьThanks and Blessings! Green Six for me. (new sub - great review!)
ОтветитьGreat breakdown! Helped me decide on the green EPS.
ОтветитьGreat video! You sound just like Carl Sagan by the way
ОтветитьAstigmatism affects how big or small dots look.
ОтветитьGreen dots won't work to well for colorblind people.
ОтветитьInsanely underrated channel.
ОтветитьI like the circle-dot and in red.
ОтветитьI always wondered what you looked like! ;)
ОтветитьC_DOES is handsome and jacked!
ОтветитьAmazing speaker, reviewer, DP… & a cutie. Keep on C!
ОтветитьGreat watch! It's a bit weird having listened only to your voice for the last 2 years and finally seeing your face. But worry not. you passed. I will continue watching your channel! ❤
ОтветитьWhere’s the green donut of death?
Ответить6moa red EPS is hands down my favorite pistol dot. Compared to a 509t-x2 (improved 2nd gen), the 6moa red EPS has less distortion or parallax and less blue tint. Better than the glock native scs as well.
It is the closest I've experienced to "a red dot floating in thin air".
c does in the flesh
ОтветитьWoah the legend reveals himself
ОтветитьIs this the same with the tinted glass on all holosun red dot green vs red or only this model?
Specifically the models withe the accs vulcan reticle
Went with the green reticle AEMS specifically because it appeared to have better tint than the red. Some red Holosuns are not great in the tint department. If I get a 510c it will certainly be the green.
I live in dry, beige/brown country and I don’t use night vision.
Really looking forward to more NV passive aiming comparisons, especialy for these budget dots
ОтветитьI always knew he was a 10/10
ОтветитьMy brother just recommended me your channel. Got to say, it's a good start when I saw the planetside shirt. Wasn't expecting a optic review channel to feature anything planetside related. That being said, I look forward to seeing what you do next. 👍
ОтветитьAyeee! C_DOES has a face!
ОтветитьGreat to see your face C! Long time viewer here!
ОтветитьC, I appreciate what you do! Keep 'em coming!
ОтветитьCame here for the optics, stayed for the face 😘. Sweeter than the reticle reveals.
ОтветитьNC CAPITALIST SCUM, YOU WILL NEVER DEFEAT THE REPUBLIC!!
Also, now I guess I should finally update the glass on my M&P as well, since it's still got a Venom I've had for years on it.
Any idea on which for someone with an astigmatism?
ОтветитьGreen anything is inherently easier to see than red anything, due to the wavelengths. That doesn't mean that green is always better, just a nerdy science thing 🤓. Personally I like my dots red, and if I add a laser to anything, I usually make it green because the higher energy is better for blinding the enemy in addition to whatever white light I may use. Ideally, if lasers were violet or UV, that would be even better, but green is where most of them top out at for sighting systems.
ОтветитьDon't they have a "competition" version of this that has like 4X the number of reticle choices? Like different sizes of dots and different sizes of circles all in the same optic? I swear I saw someone talking about it.
ОтветитьWhat a beaut. And I’m as straight as they come. Love the channel dude.
ОтветитьWho the hell is this guy?
ОтветитьI can't believe I was trusting a NC supporter this entire time. Unsubscribed. TR for lyfe!
ОтветитьNC main?
ОтветитьFace reveal!
