Fix Can't Delete Files/Folders in Windows 11 | 2024 Guide

Nice, I was struggling so much with the deletion of undeletable folders. Thank you so much bro! You saved my whole life.

Jeez it was a tough fight so basically I think I install a malware called Brightdata and holaservice (detected by RAV antivirus no premium) these 2 seem to be working together and first I try to delete it by terminal and command prompt guess what access denied and later I try to Take Ownership do step by step and try method 1 again guess what still access denied and last I downloaded EMCO IT 7 (latest version in this time) and drag hola folder that contain lot of stuff at first I see oh this folder this unlocked and try to delete it guess what it need a reboot (aka restart computer) and I was like what the heck and it restart guess what it is gone (in recycle bin later i perma delete it) then i do the same as Brightdata and it gone too

When I tried to delete a folder that I am pretty sure contained malware with cmd it told me that it was being used by another process and couldn’t be deleted but the unlock it app fixed it!

brilliant the del / f /q /a [path] did the trick with those stubborn pdf file vouchers

Thank you so much for your help @TroublleChute! There was a pdf I had downloaded last May but since then, I haven't been able to delete it. I have tried and attempted numerous ways to delete it but none of them worked. I got tired finding more ways to solve it but had no luck so I gave up. But today, this annoying file sitting on my desktop screen caught my attention again. And I am gratefully thankful, that I found your video and watched to the end! Though I got a little bit frustrated since the 1st four options still none of them worked but I'm so glad I followed the last option (UnLock IT) which has worked and fixed my problem. ^_^

Take Ownership works like a charm ty. I reinstalled windows and all my old files got stored onto my D drive and i didnt want any of them because there was something there that was causing BSOD. Everything works fine now thanks

Folder can not be found. Containing folder, can not be found too. I can create and delete in the non deleting folder.
there is not Security info.
