Hope this help, this is how i solve the freeze frame panel not showing up when it clicks
Windows User :
Create new string value "PlayerDebugMode" on HCU\Software\Adobe\CSXS.8 then give "1" on value
MAC User :
open terminal then write "defaults write com.adobe.CSXS.8 PlayerDebugMode 1" (without quotes)
