Wordpress Taxonomies Search Filter Using Tax Query

Hello there. I don't know if it's the same if you use a page builder.
I've create a query loop template page using Brick Builder, so after I press search it will send me to that page
The problem is that it would not find the taxonomy I searched for and sometimes it will show result mixing with other unrelated taxonomy
Is this the problem with the wp_query setup or is this the problem with the search.php?

I wanna change this into a checkbox so a user can select multiple genres within the same author. How would I store that into the variable and then call it into the array?
