After watching this movie again it was better than most comic book movies nowadays.
ОтветитьOh snap Brian singer is a rapest. Go and look at dreading psychology and crime look at the episode on this evil rapest, a serial rapest that drugged his twinks
ОтветитьThis was my favorite X-men movie. It may not be a shred as good as Logan, but this was so much fun.
Ответитьit came on table, Mike has to watch The Expanse
ОтветитьFUN FACT: John Colicos voices the 90s cartoon Apocalypse, whom Mike would know well as Kor, warrior of the Klingon Empire (TOS, DS9). everything comes back to star trek
ОтветитьFuck all the reviews, I’m just here for the acting.
ОтветитьWHAT DO YOU MEAN 7 YEARS AGO
ОтветитьJays true personality comes through when he overthinks stuff like the concentration camp beginning... :
ОтветитьThanks for introducing me to Flo Rida and his house. it's dope
ОтветитьBeast ages slowly because he had tried to cure himself with mystics genes
ОтветитьStorm may be boring in the movies, but in the comics she's an underutilized badass. The movies just never knew what to do with her, she it was always "She zaps people!"

ОтветитьX-Men: Oscar Isaac is Ivan Ooze.
ОтветитьThey called the next movie
Ответить"Well Jay, this was the best xmen film since Wolverine xmen origins.".... XMEN DARK PHOENIX: "Hah! Hold my beer."
ОтветитьAschlockalypse
ОтветитьHow can any screenwriter type out "Forget everything you think you know" with a straight face, and not immediately delete it? And THEN some editor puts the line in a trailer, even? Were they trolling us?! Dammit, I hated this movie. 🤣
ОтветитьFirst
ОтветитьNever have I been so entertained by people I couldn’t disagree with more. Love these guys.
ОтветитьWatching this 6 years later and "Bryan Singer makes weird decisions" is one hell of an understatement.
ОтветитьThey did psylocke dirty in this film.
ОтветитьSingers name was a jumpscare
ОтветитьI can’t believe it’s been 6 years since this deuce dropped. Time flies
ОтветитьWait, that was Oscar Isaac? As an Egyptian themed comic book character? An Egyptian themed MARVEL comic book character?
ОтветитьThe magneto scene at the beginning really reminds me of Logan. Had somewhat of the same tone
ОтветитьI sometimes rewatch this entire review just to hear Mike call Oscar Isaac a "schlock clown"
ОтветитьYou guys suck
ОтветитьI'm what would be considered a star wars super collector (can easily prove it) and I had to pause for a second then Google "poe dameron" of course it hit instantly but the fact I had to Google it shows how worthless of a character he was.
ОтветитьAs an origin storm was terrible there’s no way she would be poor living in Egypt she was a queen of a tribe in Africa and worshiped as the weather sorceress so she would not be stealing food in Egypt from commoners which is why her character personality has always spoken with a voice of superiority and royalty like Thor she doesn’t just throw lightning bolts she summons gods thunder and Unleashes lightning fire she would not be some scared little girl looking for a handout from some blue guy
ОтветитьWhy does mike know about flo rida
ОтветитьI’m just now watching this first time on Disney+ I liked “Days of Future Past”
Ответитьi think apocalypse was WEAK AF!!! In the cartoons, he can increase his size 100 times, turn into anything.
ОтветитьThe only thing a remember about this movie was Psylock..for obvious reasons
ОтветитьWell at least we got some X-Men movies. Today it's an impossible franchise to produce because they are called x-MEN. I'm pretty sure Hollywood in 2022 won't even touch that.
ОтветитьMike says"days of future pants"
ОтветитьI agree that Apocalypse (at least the vision of him exemplified by the animated series) would have been better much served by CGI than a live actor, just like CGI Beast looked so much better than shaggy fursuit and cosmetics Beast. Some characters are just so over the top that pure realism runs the risk of turning them into schlock clowns.
ОтветитьIt's strange to watch a HTIB where the guys seem to genuinely like a superhero movie. It's like time travel or an alternate universe.
ОтветитьEVERYTHING THEY BUILT WILL FALL
ОтветитьJubilee is always a missed opportunity in all the X-Men movies to end the movie with an awesome happy fireworks display
ОтветитьOlivia Munn and Jennifer Lawrence have the exact same face on the poster
ОтветитьMen of culture will appreciate Lifeforce
ОтветитьIs it weird how much emotion Jay puts in his voice when he’s describing Wolverine stabbing people…
ОтветитьApocalypse's "motivation" was quite simple: unquestioned rule and control over the world, the way he once had in the ancient times. In his mind, in the days when he ruled the world, people were civilized and peaceful, before they betrayed his "benevolent" rule. By re-awakening in the modern era, seeing all the problems of the world (on TV), he is motivated to reclaim his rule over the world, eradicate all the new "suffering" that he sees, and destroy any who will question his vision and rule. It's quite a SIMPLE premise, and motivation, for an "all-knowing, all-powerful" mutant character like Apocalypse, one who is able, and willing, remake the world as he sees fit. It took a TEAM of (free-thinking, not-easily-controlled) mutants to stop him at the end, but just meeting that new, all-powerful "Phoenix" was sufficient for Apocalypse to give up his motivation as well!
In meeting "Phoenix", Apocalypse meets the modern era's (mutant) response to the modern era's problems. He realizes that Phoenix can rule over this new world, hidden, out of sight, and that his (overt style) reign over the world is truly over.
