This game is easily in the list of my 5 all time favourites. Impossible mode though in remake felt much easier than in 2008s original.

Don’t believe all the hype on this game… I’ll give it a 5 out of 10 at best!!
Honestly it is a space mechanic shooter.. you continuously jus go back and forth fixing things on a space ship. You don’t learn any lore, you don’t learn how things happened or where the things came from. It’s just “isaac we need you to fix this so we can do that” it’s very repetitive you clear an area out to fix something and once it’s fixed just more monsters come out after it’s fixed.Basically no boss fights at all maybe 1-2. I’m 8 chapters in and so far not very fun literally just going from spot to spot repairing things that are broken…. This is from the original dead space, not the remake!!!

If you're going to give it a 9, than say at least one thing that's wrong with it. The entire script was praise, with no reason for an imperfect score

Just played this, absolutely brilliant the graphics and sound are on point and the slight changes to the exploration are very welcome as is the more vocal Issac. Loved it

Whoever design the icon for USN ship is bad, looks like China crap

The Dead Space formula lends itself well to a sort of Metroid/RPG thing later on in the games. After a while, it's more about the loot than the horror.

There's no reason why this shouldn't have gotten a score of 10. In this whole video the reviewer did not once criticize any aspect of the game. 10 doesn't mean perfect in every possible way, it just means more or less fully realised potential, which is exactly what this remake achieved.

The ONLY annoying thing in the game is that we can’t skip cutscenes. Apart from that, it’s a masterpiece. Play it with blinds closed and in the darkest room you got. And wear headphones, cause the sounds here are AMAZING. 10/10 to me.

Just finished my 3rd play through and got the platinum, man, this is the BAR for REMAKES, RE4 seems to have hit it and then some, here's hoping Silent Hill 2 does as well!!!....

A bucha stuff you credit to the remaster is just stuff used from DS2 and DS3, so it isn't as revolutionary or new as you seemed to imply:

Flying sections: DS2 DS3
Circuit breakers: DS3
Stasis tanks: DS3
Weapons are found in the world: DS3
Incendiary shots: DS3 and the old DS1 had that for the cutter
Talking protag: DS2 DS3

Funny how most of the "cool additions" are from DS3, a game people gave a lot of flak.

You didn't mention any negatives, highly biased and meh review.

Not to mention that DS1 – at least on the PC – aged like crap. The port is terrible to control.

I'm an avid gamer, Im ok with the Genra but I'm more of a ARPG fan. But this remake is on sale on EA atm for 45$ For it being a remake that still seems a little steep. Ive herd tell that this is an INCREDIBLE experience that every player should have experienced just once. So this is my last review on it before probably pulling the trigger on this one.
