Can you split the tunnel with a hub/router?

On the desktop application.I can add Steam, or a video game direct to the Internet (no VPN), for example, while other things are protected by the VPN.

Since I don't need a vpn for gaming on my pc.

Great video. But I still can´t connect to the servers. I did everything that video shows us, but when I try to connect to a server, it keeps loading and not connecting. I do use a ASUS TR-AC51U router and the firmware is up to date. Any suggestions ?

Helpful. What I don't understand is the advantage in configuring the VPN in the router settings, over using a VPN client App, like OpenVPN. I assume configuring the router diverts all traffic through the VPN. That's fine if you want that, but a VPN client App can allow you to divert some but not all traffic through the VPN. I need that to keep some Apps and browsers excluded from the VPN, for example some sites won't load if the IP address looks like it is outside my country. Skype is another case where slower VPN speed is not helpful. Thanks.
