Snip tool that comes with Windows is a piece of crap. It will crash on you when you're about an hour in. Ask me how I know this? 😂😂😂. Then after a few cuss words and you try to get back in it says the program is having a problem and to come back later. That's what you get for free comes with windows 😂😂. It's literally Russian roulette on whether or not the snip tool will crash on you 😂. It did it a few times while I was recording this week and I will never use it again.
I will try clipchamp because my computer has it. Love this video❤

Snipping Tool must be the most unstable piece of software Microsoft have ever produced, and in spite of literally hundreds of people reporting problems with it freezing or simply crashing MIcrosoft have yet to do anything to fix it. Probably because it's free and nothing in it for them. When it works its great but I wouldn't become too reliant on it. I guess you get what you pay for.

Everyone says that OBS is the best and easiest. And you don't even have it on the list at all. Interesting. Can you share why you don't like OBS? I'm about to learn one and want information.

Hello, new to creating videos and this is a slick way to do it. Great job! I have an ebay store and I want to record my screen but also want to refer to some excel spreadsheets. I did an experiment to try it and it didn't work. It only records my web screen and not when I click on tab for Excel. Is there a way to be able to go back and forth on these with ClipChamp?

Also I started using this a few months back with my windows 11. The Xbox game bar comes with the computer otherwise I would have never tried it. And you can record your screen, a game if you're playing a game, you can screenshot. You could do all kinds of things and edit it in any video editor you want whether that's canva or clip champ or whatever and it's been amazing because there's actually no limit time-wise and it doesn't downgrade your quality. And you can screen record your voice or do voice-overs there's so many things you could do with the Xbox game bar

Thank you! Snipping is doing a really great job, but the downside is that you can't move the widget bar out of the way. Sound quality is good enough, depending on what you're expecting. I don't think it's for gaming though.

Thank you, I started using clipchamp, it's kind of slow in my laptop but it helps me capture multiple windows which was a problem when I used windows built-in recorder. Due to the lag it still isn't perfect but it's way better than the previous option.

I found OBS (and Blender) in the Microsoft Store. That makes them easy alternatives. It's not clear to me that either of these records the entire screen. True, you can use the mouse to select the entire screen, but I have the nagging fear I missed a pixel somewhere.

I ❤ have Radeon gpu and some amd addon that controls my gpu but also flawlessly records my screen, good for editing afterwords 😢😅😮

Wow! How timely seeing your video pop up in my feed (one of the benefits of being Subscribed to your Channel!!!). I spent several hours the past couple days comparing Loom and ScreenPal. I can see that the FREE version of ClipChamp beats both of those PAID apps for my purposes. I have a subscription to ScreenPal. It's pretty good for the money, but ClipChamp appears to have more versatility in the editing functions. Downloading it now! Thank you Justin and Team for another informative and very helpful video!!!
