As I don't have dedicated off-street parking, but the possibility to charge near my workplace, this seemed like a good choice as the EV range would've been enough for my commute, and the ICE could get me through for some of the occasional longer trips without worrying about range or time needed to charge along the way (to the Airport, or Disneyland Paris).

But, then I found out that it doesn't come with an electric heater. So in the winter time to keep the windscreen defogged, it will run the ICE for heat, meaning I lose the possibility to use it in pure-EV mode for a lot of time throughout the year.

Should they add an electric heater - and maybe hold mode - then it would be a good fit for my needs.

It actually does have EV hold mode. If you drive it in hybrid mode, but still have juice left on the battery, it will save electric power until you chose EV mode again.

I don't need to get over 'how bland' the dash is, - it's great, excellent even, no, instead, you need to stop taking money from the bigger manufacturers...seriously what planet are you on? This car is step beyond the Prius, it drives faster than you do - clearly, and is frankly an absolutely a marvelous bit modern engineering.

What's the deal with all the complaining and whining about how "bland" it looks. The car looks great to me. Some of us LIKE dark colours. I really don't care whether YOU like the look of the car. Your job is to show me the car so I decide if I like the way it looks, and to tell me about the actual features and how well they work and how they feel.

After 30 days with an 2018 Ioniq PHEV I tried the Sports Mode/paddle shifters and, wow! this car moves very well! In Sports Mode a driver has 3 options: press the pedal, use paddle shifters or use the gear shift, clicking forward for up shifts and back for down shifting the 6 speed gear box. Power when needed or wanted. Thanks

Can the car dive on 0 emission for at least 20 miles?
