Hey Marine, you rock. Your information, education and advise goes a long way and is much appreciated. I think life is too short and we need to enjoy our lives as well as have money for the long term (enjoying our older ages) so long term investments ( scary now with the direction of our economy at this time) and short term investments for our yearly vacations and emergencies. M1 finance is awesome because it allows us to invest money and puts it in all investments. What would be your recommendations for a 3 long and 3 short term investments for these two types of strategies?

In normal times I’d love to jump in with Disney. But with their choosing a side in the culture war, rather than doing the smart thing and choosing neutrality, I worry they are going to alienate half their audience, and more concerning… the audience who are parents with concerns over what content is being marketed to their kids. Ignoring the politics there in, what do to you think the long term impact of this decision by Disney will be on their stocks?

Love SoFi's potential but not sure I'd consider them a forever buy and hold option.

I have held all my stocks and ETFs for 10 years and plan to do so until I die and leave them to my children. If the companies are blue chip household names that have been around and profitable for more than a generation then why sell them? Excessive trading is madness and will decrease returns. Modern trading platforms look like betting sites....madness in my opinion. You have to be disiplined in this game...it's 20% numbers and 80 % emotions.

I think the roeble, Russia will go up the next 20 years UP BIG. Over 80% selling in the markets is "Made in Russia", and that is the way to go! And they have just everything EU, America ans Asia needs.....Russia full selfsupporting of own energy, technics, and own rare earth availability, titanium in special, it will be the future longterm.

Comparing how long it took to get subscribers for Netflix and Disney is not fair. Netflix had to do it before it became common, they started from scratch basically and had to get people to learn this new idea. You're using confirmation bias to prove Disney is a good company

Im a subscriber and have been watching these videos...Im a bit confused. Are these considered Growth stocks that pay dividends or is there s difference in dividend growth stocks?

Might have already been commented but in the 1950s you couldn't use an app to fund your account and buy stocks while sitting at a red light (hypothetically, of course, don't be on your phone while driving). Point being, it is super easy to make trades today compared to having to physically go into a bank or investment office to make a trade.
