Some people say that British named this land after found the profit from indigo cultivation. There is a horrific history of Bengal's indigo farmers. Though indigo is no more cultivated in Bengal, but the ill-fated farmers' stories are fresh in our mind. So my opinion is, to preserv the name India in our history books . We must show our respect to those indigo farmers, bcoz they r no less than any freedom fighter.
