disappointed that khadas never got a mention. some of them are pricier, but they're great alternative sbc's. i have an edge 2 pro, vim 3 pro, and vim 4. i use them as dev and prod servers, and desktop replacements. and they all have capable npu's for anyone wanting to scratch their ml itch. they're all low power, too; sub 10W each.

Love the list of alternatives. I have been looking at pie for a while but not takin the plunge. Am looking for device to read and record 12 thermometer 40' 60'and 80'and 4 pressure reading 4 relays for switching. This is test a home project on tight budget. I don't want want Bluetooth or wireless so I like the one you showed with a dangle 😅 to physically disconnect network. What would you recommend and would you recommend other equipment as add on boards for the distance of temperature probes.

I like the Pi's. But, I'll go with a mini PC and make what I'm building work.
