"it's not that much more costly"...
Well, not in Canada. In Canada, in practice, it costs SO much more, that the Prime saves you ZERO dollars in the end. Nice toy, great, but saving money? No. Just. No.
Oh man, I didn't get a rebate on my 2022 rav4 trd.
ОтветитьYour voice is not good .
ОтветитьSo he parks the car under a tree.
ОтветитьMy dad owns one of these as a grocery getter it’s genuinely shocking how quick it is. Way more than enough power than it needs. Insane bang for your buck
ОтветитьI know u mentioned something about if u run out of battery u can still drive with the gas engine, but that’s not entirely true. If the hybrid battery runs out of power to a low enough level and it doesn’t hold charge any longer the gas engine will not start and will leave you stranded until u replace the hybrid battery which costs about 6k-9k. 😢
ОтветитьI want one SO bad probably another 5 years till I can get one tho…. We’ll, more time to save!
ОтветитьSorry if I missed something, but are you talking about a CVT transmission in that-seemingly-“gem” of a machine?
ОтветитьIm glad i bought one 2023 prime😀
ОтветитьI like mine, too. We'll see how the 12v battery does , and main elec cable rust issue develops
Ответить"So you get so much BOOWssst"
gotta luv Scotty
BWAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA 🤣🤣🤣
My 2018 rav4 after 3 year the cover headlight got a lot of crack too bad . I can’t do nothing because crack inside and change the new one why the car only after 3 year look old the paint look older than the Japan same year . Toyota use the chip material next time no more Toyota
ОтветитьWhats the 9k credit ? If you buy a electric car the government give you that money? Or the dealer take off 9k of the price ?
ОтветитьSo this car is &58,000 would it worth it NOW?
Ответить2023 RAV 4 PRIME PLUG IN HYBRID PRICE TAG: $51K. For $20K more, you can get a 2024 BMW X5 plug in hybrid. Luxury at a higher level.
ОтветитьLove this channel.
Ответить10 minute video...8,122 jump edits = annoying.
ОтветитьI'd try one of those, this is the best thing I've seen in a long time.
ОтветитьI really like this car. Maybe someone wants to give it to me?
ОтветитьThanks for your video, Scott. I picked up my Prime XSE with tech package in April. I have a few questions and hopefully you or other owners can provide some details. I read other car magazines and they mentioned not to charge the battery to 100% all the time. I asked a tech when I brought my car for service. I was told there is no difference to charge it up to 80% or 100% as it will not affect the battery life. My another question is about gasoline in the tank. The owner's manual mentions not to leave the gasoline for too long. How long is too long? Now I stopped charging on the 4th month so I can get some fresh gasoline in the tank. My last question is about range. In the summer, when it's 100% charged, it showed 83km. Now it's end of Dec and it only shows 73km. Sure, it's winter now. But I am surprised it could lose 10km between summer and winter, and that's before I turn on the A/C or heat.
ОтветитьThe Toyota rav4 haves amt transmission and I like it better than crv
ОтветитьI have a 2019 rav4 I’m having trouble with mud and sand mode automatically switching when I drive. I cut it off and it cuts itself back on anybody have this issue?
ОтветитьI have a 2019 I use for work gig driving. Have anyone having issues 😢 when you driving the mud and sand mode come on. When I try it off it come right back on again. Nothing online, any help will do.
ОтветитьI got a 2011 Prius. Thing burned oil. Idk about Toyota hybrids since they use 0-20 oil. Too thin.
ОтветитьHere in Alberta Canada. We dont get the high rebate although Quebec does so most Primes go to Quebec. They are difficult to get here. A three year wait. Lots can change in 3 years. The dealerships also have them marked way up because they are so rare and high in demand. I have a friend that showed us his. It is a remarkable car ahead of its time. Thanks for the review. Another good one. I am quite addicted to the Scotty channel.
ОтветитьI think instead of people focusing go all electric I feel like hybrids and plug in hybrids are the way to go because a lot of people can benefit from the electric power in the city but you have the gas motor as a great back up or for when you want to take king road trips and don’t have to worry about charging a vehicle
ОтветитьAre you even sober in this video Scotty? Rev up your intemperance!
ОтветитьThanks for the different insight on the R4P Scotty. Got myself a 2021 XSE Premium that I paid MSRP for. All other reviews just talk about statistics but you give a great mechanic's view over it. Been using it for local grocery getting/ drop kid to school off driving and no complaints so far. I easily get 52 mile range now, -2 w/ AC on which works out. Curious how things will be long term though.
ОтветитьI tried buying a Toyota Rav4 and every sales rep says they have stopped taking orders. 2023 plugin hybrid Lincoln Corsair is my next pick
ОтветитьY not put a second alternator to charge the ev battery when you're driving on gas.
ОтветитьWelcome to the cablegate team. ($$$)
ОтветитьScotty what s your option on cx5 vs rav 4 xle. 2020 ?
ОтветитьI've rented quite a few cars, specifically Toyota, Hyundai, Kia, Chevy, and Ford. I would put Chevy and Kia on the bottom tier, Hyundai and Ford at mid tier, and the Toyotas have been the best, specifically the Camry and Prius. I'm looking at buying a hybrid because I drive 30k+ miles a year on questionable roads and the RAV4 Hybrid seems like the best option for me. I've been driving a 90s Nissan Pathfinder 4x4 which is great except for getting 17MPG highway and riding like a 90s Nissan lol. I know the RAV4 would get totally stuck in some of the conditions I've driven the pathfinder out of, but I don't mind loss of capability for the gain in range and comfort.
ОтветитьGreat video. I was wondering have you ever tried to scan the RAV4 Prime with your scanning tool and see if it worked. Thanks
ОтветитьThis thing is so bad at cornering 😂😂 RAV4 fail moose test hard.
ОтветитьI just a 2010 Toyota RAV4. I love it but I've noticed there's a rattle when you just turn the ignition just a few seconds, then you never hear again til you stop and turn it on. Is this normal?
ОтветитьThe MPG on this hybrid just doesn’t make economical sense to the German standard diesel and Audi tfsi petrol engine
ОтветитьThanks Scotty I guess I'll be in my 94 camry forever.
ОтветитьWait time is 5 yrs here.
ОтветитьHow did he get one that cheap. Cheapest I can find is 50k
ОтветитьNo way it's getting 50mpg in the city. Unless you're avg 10mph. -prius owner
ОтветитьLooks expensive to repair once over 100k.
Ответитьimagine a toyota land cruiser hybrid.
ОтветитьWelcome to MA Scotty!!
ОтветитьI want to get me a RAV4 Prime. Which do you suggest I get, the 2021 or the 2022? Please let me know.
ОтветитьLmao "electric motors has really good traction..." hahaha
ОтветитьLmao, I am also a pilot and I have the same scan gauge too!
ОтветитьAlmost impossible to find one..and they arent in their lease program. Hopefully both those things get solved.
Ответить37k? Unfortunately they go for 70k plus now in California if you can even get one
Ответить
