Lovely job, beautiful chest, good to see someone dressing the screws properly, all lined up horizontal.

ОтветитьThis tool box is exactly the same design as the one I bought in 1967 except for the draw knobs and mine was a Moor & Wright. I bought it second hand and still have and use it. I can understand why you just had to have it. Very good video, the box looks amazing.
Ответитьrazoável
ОтветитьWell and beautifully done.
ОтветитьHow old tihs tool box is
ОтветитьFantastic job!
ОтветитьPhilip, just commenting again as I think my last comment has been lost in the chain, your email address bounced back, can you check it and give me it again?
ОтветитьI have a really old one of these which I plan on restoring. However, I need a plastic drawer knob just like those ones on this, anybody any ideas where I could find one?? Cheers
ОтветитьN I C E - J O B = BEAUTIFUL CRAFTMANSHIP
ОтветитьLooks good, great job!!
ОтветитьWow this one really took off👏 Congrats mate and thanks for the mention, I really appreciate it 🙏
ОтветитьBought this exact box with out the logo...at local flea
market in 2000. Missing strap handle...but now seeing design may fab my own. Has same green felt cloth drawer liners...but apparently there was a green felt pad on the slide lock panel door... Did get a
key made so it locks and
latches the entire unit...
Best special tools box I own. Pd 80$... great deal of the day. Thanks for putting something I treasure online to show off old
school order. Can't be beat.(71 yrs and counting)
Wow. Excelente trabajo. Pero hago una pregunta... y por qué no has optado por encerar la cajonera? Crees que habría quedado bien también? O es que antiguamente se barnizaba con brillo? Gracias por enseñarme tu trabajo. Saludos desde España. Mi nombre es Ana
ОтветитьWhat a masterpiece!!!!👍
ОтветитьA work of priceless art !
ОтветитьLindissimo
Um mimo
WELL DONE!!!💖💖💖💖💖
Ответитьca resemble a un écritoir, tres beau travail, bravo
ОтветитьNice work. I dont like to use stain, but you made me a believer. I also like the way you created a new handle and the gloss on the box is remarkable.
ОтветитьBeautiful work! Perfect!!!
ОтветитьBeautiful job and stunning finish!
ОтветитьBeautiful!
ОтветитьNow, so shiny, is a box for jewelery!
ОтветитьSo satisfying to watch!☑️
ОтветитьJust a comment when straightening the bent pieces. The concave part of the curve has dried more than the convex one, so the moistening (using the wet towel and the hot iron) should concentrate on this surface.
ОтветитьIt turned out to be an exquisite piece! I really enjoyed watching this process of taking this old tool box from trash worthy to a beautiful piece to be proud of. I'm so impressed. Well done. BTW I'm subscribing to your channel so I can watch more videos like this one.
ОтветитьThat would be beautiful for a dresser valet and edc box love it
ОтветитьVery nice job!
ОтветитьQue legal, csixinha dejoias😊
ОтветитьEnjoyed watching your process restoring this beautiful tool box. I enjoy restoration work also. Need to find a project to do.
ОтветитьMuy bien, pero a mi gusto personal debe quedar no brilloso, sino mate
ОтветитьNice work as always
ОтветитьWow. So cool. I want one for my sewing supplies. 😉
ОтветитьШик, блеск, красота! Браво мастеру!
Ответить¡ MARAVILLOSO!!!!!!
ОтветитьPerfeito..
ОтветитьExquisite 🏆🏆🏆
ОтветитьGreat video, I have inherited my Dad's old toolmakers chest and tools so will have to complete a restoration on his too, thank you for this has given me lots of help 👍
ОтветитьNice job. A couple points: No need for the varnish. Yes, everyone has a preference, but shellac and wax is beautiful too and WAY easier to touch up or repair in future without needing to be stripped. And I agree with other comments regarding the glue. Repairing or restoring pieces with joinery often means taking the joints apart. More traditional Hide glue is plenty strong yet can be eased to release the joints if needed. PVA wood glue is more typical today but still easier to release with heat than epoxy or urethanes.
ОтветитьBeautiful restoration, but this was actually worth more before you restored it. Not everything needs restoration, nor do many restorations actually improve the intrinsic value of vintage or antique items. Its usually better to leave them alone in order to preserve past legacies.
ОтветитьBeautiful job.
ОтветитьStunning
ОтветитьI have the same tool chest turned "shabby chic" painted in white . . use in my shop displaying items using some of the drawers ❤ your restoration USA
ОтветитьI'd love to know what brush you used on the box with French polish? Great vid
ОтветитьGood result but too glossy.
ОтветитьThe best way to clean Bakelite is by using Brazzo (brand name in Australia) any creamy liquid brass cleaner will do, brings them back to perfect like new, tried & true
ОтветитьWOW
ОтветитьAbsolute Perfection!!
ОтветитьVERY NICE! How long was the total project time? Nice attention to detail.
