Would pay to see Rockafire Explosion again.
SHOWBIZ WAS THE BEST!
more like a rot at the heart of American civil behavior. Too many people ready to throw fists (or worse) in hopes of being TikTok famous for 3 seconds.
ОтветитьYour research staff is way to good and has way too much time. Like pandora's box this should not have been opened! I can't unsee this show.
ОтветитьAwe come on… don’t mess with chuck
ОтветитьMy favorite history story
ОтветитьPHILADELPHIA MENTIONED 🦅🦅🦅🦅🔥🔥🔥🔥🔔🔔🔔🥨🥨
ОтветитьThe Chucke Cheese in Wisconsin was probably the one eiether by Darbo or on the West Side of Madison. Strategically placed next to bad neighborhood's.
ОтветитьReupload?
ОтветитьI went to ShowBiz Pizza Place when I was a kid back in the late 70s and early 80s. In the suburbs of Chicago.
ОтветитьIsn't this a re-run? We're getting re runs on the internet like broadcast tv? Wth 🤦♂️
ОтветитьJokes on you, I turned 35 this Past weekend.
ОтветитьI'm 42 Chuck E cheese was ok when I was a kid but the more triggering Pistol Petes Pizza was a step above until some kid got shot in the parking lot so it became Peter Piper Viva Vegas😂
Ответитьwtf did I watch? Lol
ОтветитьThis is the greatest thing I've ever seen and I am here for it
Ответить"If you're under 35, you'll never own a home." Audience nervous laughter begins
ОтветитьMy kids aged out of Chuck e Cheeses a few years ago (basically right before covid was the last time we went) and they had the robots.
ОтветитьI never went to Chucky Cheese growing up, but we did get a Rocky and Bullwinkle's in my hometown which I truly adored.
ОтветитьIt's hilarious to get to see Dan O'Brien essentially get to keep writing deep dive pop culture cracked articles for one of the most well known news shows in the world.
ОтветитьIs this a laugh track or real people?
They are laughing way too often at stuff that’s not the funny parts.
So if laugh track needs fixed.
If real people, they need more entertainment more often.
Charles Entertainment Cheese knows what’s up.
ОтветитьWhen I was a kid my parents used to take me to a place called Circus Pizza and they had a Rockafire Explosion on their stage. The building must have previously been a Showbiz Pizza. Interesting to hear about the history of this stuff
ОтветитьI just want to share my personal experience at CEC from 2000 - 2005.
Interestingly, our school cafeteria lady worked at CEC as a 2nd job. She greeted us and stamp our hands under the UV light.
Some of my favorite games are Jurassic Park, Arctic Thunder, and Star Wars Episode 1 Racer.
I never really cared much for the characters. the animatronic band was a neat curiosity for its time, not the nightmare fuel as kids see it today. We just want to play the games.
I don't hate the pizza, not the best, but not terrible. Apparently, I was addicted to the unlimited potato salad.
Each visit, me and my 4 siblings were limited to 20 - 30 tokens to share. We sometimes scavenge for dropped tokens behind the game cabinets.
We prefer to play non-ticket games over ticket games. So we typically earn earn just enough for the smaller prizes. Yo-yos, clackers, candy, etc.
The ticket munching machine is always fun. It counts your tickets and print out a receipt to redeem for prizes.
We found an exploit to pull extra tickets from the Skeeball game, the most illegal thing we did as kids.
Our local CEC is still open to this day, obviously it went through a ton of changes beyond recognition. It was the only major arcade in town for over 20 years until recently a Round1 opened at the mall.
Where are the Always Sunny fans in here? Risky Rats!
ОтветитьIn Omaha, NE (not sure of the rest of the country) Chuck E Cheese was originally ShowBiz Pizza. Same catch phrase, but had a gorilla playing the keyboard lol
ОтветитьLOL! this made my morning
ОтветитьShowbiz Pizza Gang.
ОтветитьCharles Entertainment Cheese🫡
ОтветитьJust brilliant; as usual!
ОтветитьThis is a reppd
ОтветитьOkay when he said cache like cachet instead of 'cash', I had a pedantic aneurysm
ОтветитьIt’s been about two decade since I’ve been, but did Chuck E. Cheese lose significant weight?
ОтветитьHonestly, that sounds like a really good concept for an adults-only restaurant/bar/club. Animatronic bands are still cool and adult humor is too. Just add gogos, strippers, sexy magicians, and/or comedians of all genders, a slot machine (just one so it doesn't become yet another gambling den), a few old-school aracades and flippers, some billards and darts...
Let the animatronics have cigars - just no actual smoke (maybe there could be a vape area with good air filtration, water pipes and even some weed where it's legal).
And for the kids, just add a childcare center next door, so parents can have some time together without having to care about their kids for an afternoon.
This was wildly entertaining and things I didn’t know I needed to know. 😂
ОтветитьI remember Showbiz Pizza as the precursor to my local Chuck E Cheese. Even had the same melody for the song. It was robbed numerous times and was the scene to many a violent birthday party. After one robbery, my friend showed up to our hangout, still wearing the Chuck suit, minus the head. Idk if he ever returned the suit.
ОтветитьIs this a re-upload? I feel like I've seen it already.
Also, I used to own a house, but now I don't. ='(
I started taking a drink as John said "illegally Italian". Now I need a fresh shirt. Thanks John.
ОтветитьGreat piece but kinda weak ending
ОтветитьThe background is amazing. Put MatPat on the case.
ОтветитьAs a theater maker for kids (and a former kid who sought out the abandoned areas of Las Vegas hotels while there for dance competitions), I can attest to the fact that kids crave darkness contained within safe spaces. Youse totally right, John
Ответитьhere for the fnaf lore implications
ОтветитьJohn Oliver is taking over for Matpat
ОтветитьAm i the only one that had seen this before? Is this a recycled story?
ОтветитьThe ending was beyond anticlimactic...😅
Ответить😂😂😂😂 the accuracy about Philadelphia... Oliver for President!
ОтветитьIsn't this a repeat?
ОтветитьShow Biz Pizza was first
ОтветитьAmazing segment! Great job by everyone associated with it. I do have one question. Who is going to let the Boomers and GenXers know that it was a Boomer who gave birth to this Furry craze they're screaming about now?
ОтветитьSo that's where Five Nights at Freddy's comes from.
Ответить
