awsome
ОтветитьOh for the love god cut off that annoying ass music 😬😬😬
ОтветитьConsuming water has zero effect on lipolysis, it's not even part of the metabolic equation.
ОтветитьCoulda called this " 5 mistakes for 25 yr olds"...
Its the same stuff
Ripe it up with weights, refuel your engine with proper food, and sleep to rebuild. If you are not going to do all 3, then your results will reflect it.
ОтветитьHe's so right of exercise.
ОтветитьI'm 55 and push myself to the limit on every workout. I lift as much weight as I can, 6-10 reps, 2 sets, until failure. Yet I don't get sore. I'm wondering if it's because of the muscle supplements I take, genetics, or maybe both?
Ответить56 here. Quit alcohol 20 months ago. Went low carb 10 months ago. Got back into weights 6 months ago more than ever. Doing deadlifts and pull-ups and other things I didn’t do before. I’m in incredible shape and lean now. All of they said, waking up in the morning is WAY harder than 20 years ago. Really feel my age for the first 2-3 hours of the day but get into a groove by noon.
ОтветитьDespite my screen name, it's my late wife's account, I am a 57 yr old guy. Have started and stopped several times over the past few years due to a back injury (not lifting related). Fortunately, I am not guilty of most of these things. I train heavy and to failure on most muscles, take extra protein. But will start going harder on legs as my back will allow. Using dumbells and an inexpensive cable setup, with treadmill walking warmup.
ОтветитьI want to know what supplements these guys are using who have great muscle tone and bodies after 50. Many of the guys that I see in the gym have to be using TRT or steroids to look like they do. Many of these sites on social media who have these trainers, many are using TRT or steroids or something to help them get the physique that they have. They never seem to talk about that when they are giving you all this workout advice. What about you Mark? Do you supplement with TRT or have you done a steroid cycle before?
Ответитьgreat video; im 76; work on a ranch; do a warm up in the am for 20 mins;legs arms etc, work all day; evening do another 20-30 min legs arms etc.
ОтветитьMid fifties and I was massively under training. I was wary of old injuries. Then a trainer at the gym supervised a lower body session and got me deadlifting 20kg higher with much better form. I was pretty shocked at the difference. I've increased my upper workouts too.
ОтветитьTrue. Im 52 and everything he is saying is key. Is very hard after 50, specially if you were a drinker and a lousy eater
ОтветитьI wanted to disagree with the first "mistake". Then I began to look around my gym at the majority of the people working out. More than half spend more time doing selfies and texting than training.
ОтветитьTotally the wrong philosophy. What you do is better than sitting on the couch, but your goal as a man should be a 5 plate deadlift (495), 4 plate squat (405), 3 plate bench (315), 2 plate standing military press (225). These are what you should aim for. Light weights are for pussies.
ОтветитьGood information even for women ..
Thanks for sharing🎉
You sound like George Bush 😂
ОтветитьMy advice: Warm up and stretch before you use big weight. It will help you avoid pains, strains and injuries.
ОтветитьBest ever advised
Ответить61, do HIT a la Mike Mentzer and Dorian Yates.
Was jacked when younger but way out of shape at 60, when I retired. Determined to be a jacked grandpa, started TRT at 59 to keep me in normal range. I also supplement with creatine.
As Mentzer instructed, I use HEAVY weight , doing slow controlled reps, 6-10. Going to and past failure using negatives, rest pause, and drop sets. My gains have been astronomical ! We t from benching a pathetic 135, to repping sets of 245…just an example.
I agree with 4 of your suggestions but I see too many guys not pushing heavy enough weights.
I didn't know that George Bush was on TRT.
ОтветитьGreat video.
ОтветитьThis is very helpful. I’ll be 48yrs old this year
ОтветитьThis Fguy got it right😊...and im not even 50!
ОтветитьHow often each muscle need to train hard over 50 with experience
Ответить“ They misunderestimated me”- George Bush
ОтветитьPresident George Bush as a fitness coach.............😁😁😁😁😁😁
ОтветитьI'm 62 and worried about hurting myself with too heavy weights.
ОтветитьI’m 53 and have been lifting weights since the age of 15. The worst mistake I made was continuing to lift heavy. The BEST things I incorporated was yoga, calisthenics and cardio training. I only train 30-45 minutes per week and 4-6 days per week. Slow, consistent, and persistent through time and time will do its thing 💪🏼
ОтветитьI'm 60, can I do chest twice a week?
ОтветитьDon't turn your warm up into the exercise.
ОтветитьI will admit I am 50 and I do neglect warm-ups
ОтветитьWell, in a nutshell: thats it. Thank you very much!
ОтветитьAt least 7-8 hrs of quality sleep.
ОтветитьOh yeah I’m on TRT..
ОтветитьRecovery time. I'm 76. For years I adhered to the 2 to 3 day recovery time. During this past year I've extended recovery time to 4 to 5 days. The reults in definition and muscle growth are remarkable. And of course an adequate protein intake.
ОтветитьExcellent advice, thanks mate. The one thing you didn't mention is a must for all men over 50, peptides, specifically CJC1295 and Ipamorelan, the fountain of youth.
ОтветитьWow, George Bush looks great!
ОтветитьMost people over 50 undertrain
Correction, Most people undertrain.
Good video,, legs is key, nutrition and rest, and dont stress about too many things.
Totally a victim of not pushing hard enough.
Ответитьwarm-up
12 reps - light weight
6 reps - 20 rep weight
4 reps - target weight.
OK...
He looks like George W
But i like him
Warmups take precious time and energy from the workout. J/k I’m guilty of that and somewhat guilty of the other items of which I’m improving. Water intake and legs have had a lot of focus this year.
As far as weights and training I use to push to the max and part of that mentality is still there so I have to be aware of not overtraining. Now it’s pure body weight training and I love it.
Guilty of too much weight, not enough legs and not warming up. Need more water, but nutrition isn't bad. I'm more guilty of overtraining than under, but I'm working on that, less weight, better form, and more legs.
ОтветитьI'm 137 and haven't lifted much for the last 80 years, but this video gave me the motivation to get back in the gym again.
ОтветитьThis leg thing is interesting. A few hours after having had my leg training at the gym my libido increases. In fact it is on these days I am sexually active.
ОтветитьGeorge Bush is that you?
ОтветитьOne of the worst mistakes at any age, is stressing out over the endless videos out there that all offer their own views and opinions.
