ОтветитьThank you Marie Louise. I really enjoy your videos and painting tips.
ОтветитьThank you for your easy, gentle teachings. You are a blessing to us all.
ОтветитьI've had good luck with non-aerosol fixative. I think it's SpectraFix? Not as noxious as the aerosol brands though since the mist is heavier than an aerosol, I put my painting flat for this stage. Kind of a problem with a really large painting.
ОтветитьThank you.
ОтветитьLoved the video! Thanks!💜
ОтветитьMany thanks. Inspiring as usual.
ОтветитьI've just started using charcoal with acrylics. Thank you for this ❤
ОтветитьI’m so grateful to you for the inspiration. Your voice is so comforting.
ОтветитьNever used charcoal in my painting, but, with your tips, it is worth a try. Thanks again 🙏👌👏
ОтветитьThank you! ❤
ОтветитьThank you sooo much…for your concise gentle sharing of your technique 😊
ОтветитьNice suggestions. ❤
Ответитьgracias profe desde colombia mil grasias Álvaro👍
ОтветитьI work with charcoal quite often and find it's a great medium for expression. I love the moods I can evoke with just a few simple strokes. Yes. It smudges very easily. But that's part of the appeal for me cause I love to work with my fingers and spread the loose charcoal powder around. So much fun to work with! Excellent advice on sealing charcoal. Spot on!! Cheers from New England. 😊
ОтветитьLove it.
ОтветитьThanks so much for your instructions, love your work.
ОтветитьThanks for that Louise ...you have answered all my questions!
ОтветитьThank you so much, Marie-Louise, for this instructive video. I'm gonna get me a new canvas to try this out.👍
ОтветитьMuchas gracias Marie Louise. Tus vídeos son muy interesantes. Mi forma de pintar ha mejorado mucho gracias a ti.😍😍😍
ОтветитьAs always, another wonderful video!! I LOVE charcoal! Its helped me recently to get a few things in my head onto paper.
I also love water soluble graphite, which looks awesome if, before sealing it, I use a hard roller and roll some white over it to get some streaks of white but them then gorgeous interesting gray from the graphite. Same with charcoal, but charcoal is a lot darker so, gotta watch how much.
I use the fixative spray, but really love the tip about the gloss medium. As I have had issues with it pushing through.
Does the gloss affect how I paint over it? Just curious.
Thanks SO much for all your help!!🥰
thank you*
ОтветитьThank you for sharing your valuable experience. I keep watching your videos over and over. Very inspiring too.
ОтветитьI am really intrigued by your paintings. I love the looseness! I was wondering, what brand and type of paper are you using? Thank you!
ОтветитьMange tak for dine flotte malerier. Hilsen fra Frankrig.
ОтветитьSo glad I found this video! Wanted to explore mixed media and now I have a guide to follow!
ОтветитьI absolutely love your tutorials, thank you so much for your inspiration!
ОтветитьThank you; I appreciate this so much!
ОтветитьDon’t see the link
ОтветитьVery useful information ... thanks for sharing...❗🙏
ОтветитьIs it the same procedure with oil pastels
ОтветитьHello Marie and Thank you so much for this wonderful instructive tips. Can I use charcoal with Oil paint? I mean after the oil paint completely dries and use fixative?
ОтветитьI found this site at just the right time in my life. So much great inspiration and help. I have been doing very tight graphite portraits for the last few years, abandoning any use of color. You have given me courage to get out my watercolors, neocolors and gouache. I am not in a situation to use acrylic so I will make do with the supplies on hand. Do you ever use gouache? Thank you so much for your generosity.
ОтветитьYou are so giving
Ответитьabsolutely gorgeous - what color and brand soft pastels are you using please - I have been having an issue finding a good 'burnt sienna' color.
ОтветитьHi , Thank you so much for sharing your informative video! I do charcoal and wanted to know how to use acrylic with my charcoal sketch. I will check your 5 tips video thanks .❤
ОтветитьThis is EXACTLY what i was looking for! Thank you very much! My first charcoal/acrylic painting will begin in the morning! I will experiment with it. 🎨🖌️
ОтветитьHello Painters🎨 Have you wondered how to use charcoal in mixed media paintings? Whether you should seal the charcoal before painting on top and how to do it. In this video I would like to answer those questions and show you what I do when working with charcoal and mixed media. Why would we want to seal in the charcoal before painting on top with acrylics or oils? What happens if we don’t ?
Have a lovely ad creative week 🌻🌻🌻
