One thing about Ferrari is that they are very demanding but if you do good for them you’ll receive love back look at the way they’ve treated Sainz or if I look at their older drivers maintained good relationships with the likes of Alesi or Irvine or Berger or Mansell or Ickx etc etc

I still can’t believe Mercedes said no to the ambassadorial role for Lewis when DC/Nico have that role and they respectfully did way less for that brand, one of the reasons you have a lot more younger people driving mercs now has some influence back to Lewis

The truth is when ross brawn was with brawn and merc they had a great team culture even after brawn left merc niki lauda kept that culture and to sone extent its still there. However toto has made the team more above engineering achievements because toto wants to downplay driver inputs into team achievements. Historically ferrari has been known to be very family like but toxic. There have been descriptions of ferrari being a highly disfunctional family. When things are good at ferrari its beautiful but when its bad its very very ugly. However ferrari has never disrespected a drivers champion. They may have never given all drivers a bespoke car, but merc level disrespect never seen at ferrari for any driver that helped them get titles. Also the culture has improved since vasseur has been team principal and vasseur knowing how the optics looked plus the emotions in sainz head asked ferrari management to make this gesture of appreciation.

Ferrari is iconic, no other team has that distinction. Carlos was one of the drivers who has brought the team back to the championship fight. He deserved that car for that alone.
Lewis deserves better than Mercedes, always has, let’s hope he gets the recognition he deserves at Ferrari, as Fred has his back, just like Ron Dennis did. I daresay Lewis doesn’t care for a car, he doesn’t like driving road cars.

I mean they didn't really do this with seb but happy that they learned their lesson.
