Just found the video. But it also confirmed for me that I can't trade like I'm used to anymore.
I usually don'T have the time to check rumors and trade alerts every 4 hours because of work.
I often only have 3 hours a day to play and I don't want to start to hold trade items for one day to maybe be able to sell them with a profit the next day.
In the past I would just travel around and trade and walk around the settlements to unwind and make some screenshots and stuff. So just going slow and make some(not the most) money. Id wouldn't matter that it was the best or most money/hour margin, just some profit.
The change also means that I can't make a profit by trading from harbor city to another city anymore. Felt like I was really roleplaying a seafaring tradesperson.
Now it's just trade crates and auto-route.
I'm glad they made the wagons bigger so they seem more useful for Grána -> Valencia Crates and stuff.
But otherwise they don't really feel useful for me anymore.
I'm happy that others get something out of the changes but for me these feel like mechanics from a mobile game.

So Is trading so trash that you decided not to put out a more in depth video? Or just forgot?

From a 40 slot carrack owners point of view this is ridiculous. They wiped sea trading and replaced land trading with more of their RNG gambling, which doesn't appeal in the least. 
There is rumoured to be a sea based system on the todo list. No doubt it will be more the same.
This may well be the first lifeskill I avoid.

Could anyone tell me why i can only buy and never sell? My nodes are all connected. Im buying from nodes and trying to sell at the capital cities but it simply won't work? There is no sell option. Am i missing something or is it just a bug?

That rework looks really cool and might get me into trading but they didn't change the weight limit of the elephants :(

Really looking forward to the full video on the revamp! This is perhaps the first time ever I remain confused (even more so, I'd say) after reading the patch note (thrice!)
I've always admired BDO for its deep lifeskill systems, although I'm afraid they might've gone a bit too far this time... XD

I hope they implement this trade system in the Land of Morning Light, and revive over seas trade. I think it would make things interesting if players use their boats to transport trade goods like before.

I recommend that people who have just started black desert or haven't played a lot should quit. I was in love with this game, I wasn't like the others, I didn't need to do anything, the atmosphere of the game was so good that I could stay closed in this game for hours but hours I grinded with pleasure I played the characters with pleasure I did more than 5000 tasks I cut more than 2 million slots the game was so successful that I didn't get bored for 1 day but come It's such a beautiful game that someone who hasn't played 100 hours comes and takes 2 pennies out of 20 jewels, but you give thousands of hours, you can't print 1 tet jewelery in 4 years, he gets ahead of you, then you stay like a retired officer staring at the screen after opening a social media account. I don't know if you feel sorry for your efforts or if you feel like a sucker at that moment, I quit countless times, but today I saw this and bought 20 jewelry, 1 duo, so the game deems me worthy of it. Returning player, love the easily digestible guides and information to what can be an easily overwhelming game sometimes. Quick question, what is that ingame media player I see on the screen? The one that was playing "Acoustic guitar legacy time", is there a music player in the game itself? Sometimes I want to just listen to relaxing tracks from the game but it will kick in with a high energy tune if I'm riding my mount or something.

I am a sailor and barterer, I spend almost my entire game time on my boat. I never go to the cities on this alt and now I cannot sell any fish or any of the Margoria treasure items found from the lost cargo, nor can I sell any of the coins from the treasure chests that spawn during the Oquilla events without going to a city. This new trade system is just plain awful. It is fine for them to remove trade items for sale from the trade managers for this rework but they should still be able to buy junk trade items received in the game, after all the npc are just standing there doing nothing.

worse and more annoying than ever not to mention infuriatingly confusing to the point its tedious for the few lifeskillers out there who did it purely for xp. yes there are masos like me who unironically used to enjoy this crap but not anymore. now it takes ten times as long to do anything because of this toxic nerf of an unnecessary downgrade. seriously screw this game. i nocap reached my tipping point of pissdom fr!

I somehow feel like that trading rework is not an improvement, especially not regarding simplicity. Every life skill rework so far has been great, but this one seems like they created a whole lot of additional work for themselves as well as the players for...reasons. How am I supposed to level the Trading life skill now? I simply used to sell trade goods far away from where I got them, like fishing near Grana and then selling them in Valencia, for example.

I don’t know why I was hoping trade would get more interesting - but no, still not enticed. Thanks for the update Levi!

When you do the video on the new trade system can you add what happens to items that before the trade system was reworked were collected during lifeskilling. Things like the stones, amber et al. When I went to Loli in Olvia and I had one of these items, she would allow me to sell. Bahar allowed me to sell them but not Loli which could mean that fish and items like the ones I've described may only be sold in the major cities. But I don't know and if you test those things out you might be able to add whether its a glitch or a characteristic of the new system. I'm still in olivia and I won't be able to test the selling of green fish until I've visited the Western Guard Camp. Now in the past I've always sold my catch to Luke (green I mean) when I'm fishing on the Balenos. Hope that hasn't been changed with the re-work.
