Linux Gtk Glade Programming Part 31: Window size, movement & decorations

Every time I add something to my window it scales to fill. Even the buttons. How do I stop this behavior?

may you please tell how to choose container so that the design is fit to any screen, i have tried to change pixels size but it didn't worked for the responsiveness or adaptability of the widgets placed in a container
