Which JRPG are you the most excited for in 2024?

Sorry for any games that I missed and mis categorizing a few games into the JRPG umbrella. I’ll do better next time!

All I needed to was GBF Relink was your most anticipated and I couldn't smash the like and sub buttons hard or fast enough. Great video overall too! Though I was a little sad at the lack of the new Shiren game being in the list. But admittedly I am a Mystery Dungeon and specifically s Shiren fnaboy.

Bit confused by your definition of jrpg.
You have games like dragons dogma 2, which doesn't have the typical jrpg gameplay, but does come from a japanese developer.
You have games like Zenless Zero, which look kindof anime like but aren't from a japanese developer.
And you even have games like Black Myth Wukong, which doesn't have jrpg gameplay, doesn't have an anime look and isn't from a japanese developer.

As soon as mentioned how the content of Granblue Fantasy was going to be, I lost interest. I don't give a single flying fuck about multiplayer bullshit. Game is dead to me. The raid shit sounds like the most lazy possible thing they could do.
Since it's not an actual remake and more of a sequel/reimagining (and the absolutely shit combat system that has zero depth and took all the fun and customization out of it), I have ZERO interest in these games. Fuck them.
Dragon's Dogma was pretty good, with some issues, so hopefully the second game fixes those issues. It would have been nice if they allowed people to use 3 of their own pawns but, eh, gotta push that 'multiplayer' bullshit somehow to try and bring multiplayer only players in.
Eiyuden Chronicle looks decent for a 2D game, I know nothing about it beyond that, gonna have to look into it more.
I can't be the only one to think the art of SaGa Emerald Beyond looks bad, wrong, and/or off-putting no matter what's being shown.
Black Myth Wukong looks interesting and I hope it does well, but it's not one I'll play most likely. (My reaction speeds aren't what they use to be, Bloodborne was a bit too much for me, I only survive Souls-like games when I can use a shield/block effectively.)
Visions of Mana is looking good, I never played any of the previous games (hell I barely knew they existed), so I don't have any nostalgia to help get through the older ones. Hopefully this turns out well, and maybe I'll have found another series to follow and enjoy.
Blue Protocol is a MMORPG. Skip. It'll almost certainly be bad/underwhelming/die fast. At least it looks like it's not a gatcha game of any kind, that's a plus.
Lost Soul Aside...I think I heard of this some time ago, but I know nothing about it. The clip does not look (to me) like actual gameplay (I'd like to be proven wrong about that cuz that clip looks nice).
As a fan of Persona, I'm hoping Metaphor: ReFantazio will turn out good. I like the sound/idea of the combat system, a bit of an evolution over what we got in P5/R in Mementos. Also, redhead elf girl.
Zenless Zone Zero...mobile game (see bad game), like Genshin Impact (so probably a bunch of characters via gatcha system, so skip this shit if you aren't a whale/rich). Skip!

7 Deadly Sins: Origin...mobile game, and just looks bad (gameplay). Skip!

Metaphor battle system is pretty much kuro no kiseki system . You can play action or turn based. I like this system so i'm quite hype even more when i finish megami V not long ago

Also Dragon Quest 3 HD-2D remake and Dragon Quest 12 are coming soon- i dunno if theyre confirmed for 2024 but still keep an eye out

I like Persona 4 the best.
It's about confronting and accepting your inner demons (Persona). It's much more light hearted and the power of friendship is strong in this series.
The characters are memorable, the subject matter of your party and social links were controversial at that time.
The reason this one is more light hearted and the death count is fewest among the Persona series. After the dark and depressing theme of P3, they switch gears to later releases. Won't be surprised in P6 to go back to that.

Also there is nothing JRPG about Wu Kong. It's soul-like and it's not even made in Japan. Elden Ring is more JRPG than Wu Kong. And the expansion is next year.

Hints for pronouncing “eiyuden”: Japanese “e” is always pronounced like “eh”, and “i” is always pronounced as “ee” as in “wheel”, so if you put “eh” and “ii” together and it really fast, it sounds like “ay” as in “bay”. So, the way to say the title is “ay-yu-den”.

Granblue is going to be waay too fun. I feel liike it's one of those games that's going to get a 7/10 lol cause that's how this industry works. But ppl will love it at 90-95

why are you talking about RPG's if you haven't played so many of the good ones. not playing a rpg because of the graphics is kind of lame since so many of the best Rpg's are much older titles. specially never playing the original Dragons Dogma is heresy if you consider yourself a RPG fan

Out of all the games on this list A Lost Soul Aside is one I have to 🤣 at because that game has been in full development since 2016 we've seen the game in 2014. That game is never coming out and even though Black Myth Wukong has a release date I still don't trust that it's actually coming out because that means that's the first Chinese game that we've seen out of like 10 of them in the past decade that we'll actually get to play. I just don't trust these Chinese and Korean companies they show games 13yrs ahead of schedule and wonder why people ask questions like "Where the hell is this game"
