My advise is don’t get involved in the US China trade battles, it will not end well for anyone who takes sides and get involved.

The poor decision making, of the controlling entitled families that run German auto, will be almost nothing by the end of the decade!

This showed more the frantic desperation of Germany than anything. Like when one is screaming uncontrollably as he plunges down an abyss. In fact, most of Western propaganda nowadays are of this type... confirming everybody's assumption the West is really on decline fast

When I heard "French carmakers as Stellantis", I thought about how much Italy is disappearing from the industrial scene. Does the world really think that Stellantis is only French if it was created by an Italo-American AND French group? 🤔

l will never buy anything Chinese and I only purchase from companies that are made in USA, or made in friendly western counties, or if it’s absolutely impossible then a company that believes in China plus one meaning decoupling from the pos Chinese communists and building up another factory of the world with American capital.

I, a native Chinese , who owned an Audi A7 for 8years, now drive a Tesla model Y…. For me, Tesla is better and cheaper while German cars are expensive and outdated.. and I have test drive many local EVs like Nio LI and xpeng, to tell the truth, Chinese EV car makers will be the biggest nightmare for Japanese and German car industry….. truth hurts…. Btw… Tesla is still my favorite 😂😂😂

"Reliant on China" lolz you mean "wants the profits from selling to the largest population in the world." No one is forcing German automakers to sell in China... U want to sell in China for the Chinese Money. If China don't align with your values and politics then stop sales in China... What are you waiting for.

For China to catch up to Germany on the combustion engine will take 3 decades. As for the EV engine, everyone's on the same level, you gain experience by doing.

The problem with German automakers is a problem with Germany as a whole. They don't seem to grasp their current standing in the world. The days of German fine engineering and quality above everyone else are long gone. Japan, SK, and even China can produce fine machinery at a certain price point. Germany as a whole is a failure of leadership, and the tendency to look backwards instead of future planning.

China had a 20 year head start in EV cars? Why does the darling of Chinese EV makers, BYD, have a truly shocking history of their cars and SUV’s spontaneously catching fire? For the safety of North American drivers those vehicles should never be allowed on our roads!

The Chinese government gives local car makers until 2030 to complete their transition to EV, and the foreign car makers has 5 years grace period after that (I think in response to Toyota's plea) but the Chinese companies as well as consumers have less patience, I think in 5 years from now, the transition will be complete, by then if you are a car manufacturer selling in China, whatever the size is your EV sales, is all that you've left

This is exactly the same mistake that USA did in electronic instruments, semi conductor industry and computer production , USA teach chinese companies how make these instruments and china grab the market from America, Japan did the same mistake in eleletric appliances such TV , refrigerator and .. china has no mercy with no one, now the car industry of Germany and Korea will destroy by Chinese, remember that Motorola company constitute first electronic pilots in china and trained Chinese engineers, now Chinese company , Lenovo , bought Motorola, Chinese bought English car maker ( mg company)

Germany as a country and their companies are far short sighted than the Chinese. They tend to think about the present only, unlike the Chinese who thinks about 20-30-40 years. It's totally German automakers mistake, not being as long sighted and not understanding Chinese strategies at the first place.

Believe it or not, China is the future of automobiles, not USA, not Japan, not Germany.

What is wrong with taking advantage of your market? Didn't today's Europe benefit from colonising parts of China, and all of India, African countries etc ?
Secondly when Chinese car companies couldn't compete you made a lot of money isn't it ? Now that they are competitive, you should start becoming competitive rather than complaining.

The narrative of Chinese market being a risky bet is a totally false imagination. The real risk is US and EU governments themselves, not China. So to be accurate, one may say it is a risky bet to invest and do business in China for western companies because you never know how low their own politicians back home are willing to go when it comes to being anti-China.

In Apple we used to mention that “what got you to where you are is not enough to keep you there”. This applies to German car companies too. The arrogance and hubris has brought them to this point, not China. Apparently India is one market they could dominate but they have their head way up their a… and are likely to miss that one too.
