I owned an AZ2402 for a bit. Played absolutely amazing but sounded bad. Ibanez need to sort out their pickups they’re just so out of phase sounding with no mids no matter which pickup combo you use.

The RGA622XH overall design and electronic layout is very similar to the 2007 Edwards\ESP Kiko Loureiro KL-170, differences are they have Seymour Duncan pickups, a push pull tone pot, and frets 12-27 are slightly scalloped.

2023 ibanez, Yawn. 2023 specs r horrible. waiting another year i guess. Listen to me ibanez. I want a damn model S with a LO PRO and a sustainiac MIJ for under 2k. No stupid floral patterns or stupid wacky color schemes. Just paint the damn thing wood color for all i care.. Basic fret markers plz. Basic specs like maybe swamp ash or basswood body, light woods. Keep fretboard wood simple ebony or maple/roasted. A good lead pickup like bareknuckle black hawks. Its all kinda self explanatory obvious gg specs. Idk wut theyre trying to do but other than being ibanez, my fav. Guitars, they surely never do anything right to make me excited about buying a new ibanez. Which i so severely need. Amd why amd how have they not made a new edge LO PRO fitted to the AZ model? Why not? How not? Just make the fretboard the radius of the lo pro bam done ill take 1 now gg.

Ibanez has become so boring. It seems they can't figure out how to cut into the the "Suhr" market without making direct copies. If I were them, I'd pay out and acquire Reverend guitars. Reverend is the only brand out there thinking about how to make guitars that are innovative, yet still appeal to the classics. The only problem is that when you play them, they all use the same woods and the same pickups, which makes most of their guitars sort of blend together...
If Ibanez teamed up with Reverend for J. Craft models, they would just blow the competition away!

Played and owned some sumptuous guitars, for me nothing beats the RG5121 Prestige for balance, comfort, playability and tones.

I love the RG, AZ & S models. Ibanez consistently delivers immensely playable guitars.

I was waiting on Ibanez to realize that the Q series deserves to have a trem system, and they're mostly quick to realize stuff like that. But I guess it'll take them another year.
Also thr AZ colours are a bit too boring :(

Wonderful! I think that the rear cover plate on that glorious HSH AZ isn't recessed in order to allow a deeper and thus more massive block. This becomes even more necessary if the trem is recessed on the top and floating. Suhr do the same thing on their Moderns (and I prefer it, honestly).

I'm a Gibson les Paul player from the 70s forward own a Paul Stanley model from 95 great guitar but Ibanez guitars are better than fenders any day

Ormsby is the only other company I have seen doing a multi scale but, not the entire way down the neck. Theirs however is reversed so you can put a trem on it and still have multiscale down the neck.
