If coming blindeyed and not knowing Critical Role, I would believe this is the lore of Guild Wars and Guild Wars 2. The similarities are astaunushing. Maybe too much.

A whole bunch of my pals watch the roleplaying sessions. I didn't watch very much of it, but I watch the animated series. It's great because now I know what they are talking about half the time. If I decide to Dungeon Master again, I am thinking of using this world. My brother has the book with the maps and lore.

Watching this again after the huge reveals in C3, wow the beginning hits way harder.

If you think about it, the gods were kind of evil. They were basically the European colonizers of Exandria. The primordials were just chilling and they just busted it and started “taming” the primordials creations.

It´s so great that we get to see exandria in all of it´s flat coin-shapedness.

Wait, why didn't the divine gods just say "okay, you guys can take the titans and go make your own world." It seems like the "betrayer" gods just wanted to start over because they were unhappy with what was going on here. Why not just let them leave and take the threat to the mortal beings with them? Seems like it would've avoided a lot of problems.

We need an updated timeline now with the new EXUs and CR3 :D

Alot of the world beginning is same as Warcraft.

I don’t know how many times I have watched this. I just realized that campaign 3 could see mighty nein characters just as they already have seen campaign 1 characters. I wonder if we are moving toward an endgame narrative set up.

This Helped, Currently, We are doing a campaign in exandria called the Emon Irregulars and hunting the dragon spawn of the chroma conclave scattered around Exandria, plus right now our fire genesi got kidnapped by the dwendalian empire and was given to the dwarves of kraghammer as a power source. so far we are on our sixth session and are mounting a rescue mission! A fantastic lore video of Matt Mercer's world for D&D! As someone who's gotten into D&D and thinking of creating my own world and lore, this is great inspiration!

So now that we do know more about the battles of Calamity, do we get an updated lore overview?

I really enjoyed how BLM added to the lore in EXU Calamity. It gave Vespin more background than just sh*tty evil man. In the EXU Dm roundtable with Matt, Aabria, and Brennan, he expands that Vespin’s sin was the greatest sin of his age… Pride. And I really enjoyed how that played out. There was so much pride at the end of the Age of Arcanum. PLUS, the background of the creation of the Shattered Teeth.
