I WISH I liked being stoned, but even in my late teens/ early twenties, it was never fun for me -- or a social thing, that's what quaalude's for.. And DRIVING while stoned? Seriously? Wow. I had the worst wreck (that I was responsible for) when I was 21 and stoned, driving my sweet father's new car. Such a damn bummer! I smashed into the back of my first former husband's much-sturdier car. He kept urging me to drive even after I kept telling that I was way way too stoned to drive, that amazing asshole. I could've killed both of us. He said, "Enh,nah, just follow me, you'll be fine." But then he kept changing the route, stopping, turning around, backing up.. . It was awful! I wouldn't have crashed had I been straight. But still, I have friends who tell me they drive BETTER while stoned! I can't imagine! Later, being stoned was interesting only if I was alone and could write -- that's still wonderful. Some big insights and decent poetry that way. Being stoned is so totlly different for everyone! And NO one should EVER tell anybody they should drive if they're telling you they're not able to. Only a total dick (which he was/is) would do that! He threw a brick through a cop car window once WHILE the cops were in the front seat! He ran, was a fast runner, thought he was cool. I'd LOVE to see Pete do a skit on that! It's be wonderful to laugh off that asshole, almost killing us.What he was trying to do, was get us to a cool party he thought we hadn't been invited to, like we'd just show up and say, hey, we've been in a terrible car wreck right in front of your house. A party? Hey, man that's great! Any good weed? My girlfriend just hit her head on the steering wheel. . .I never tried to drive on shrooms!
