This was hard to watch. It happened to me several years ago and it was terrifying. The boat went on without me so nothing to grab onto. Should not be taken lightly like the guy videotaping. I thought I was going to drown. The waves toss you around so you dont know which way up to the surface so you can get a breath. Throw in the level of panic and you can't even think straight what to do. An easy way to drown. I have been down the Colorado through the Grand Canyon on a 5 day trip which was an awesome experience. It was nothing like the rough rowing raft trip I did 25 years later ( different river) when I got dumped. I would do the Colorado again in a heartbeat but not a trip like this one in video. Bad memories.

That first kayak was OG as hell.

Something people don't realize you need that life vest in these type of waters cuz you can't swim in them you won't be buoyant enough due to the bubbles
