I never saw a 45rpm record with two different labels on it.

Pick something other than shitmas garbage atleast, those records you pulled out would make good targets to shoot at or just throw across the room and break em.

Recordology did a video on this a couple years back. He calls it “The Record Launcher” 🚀, because, at the push of a button, it will literally launch 🚀 the record clear across the room. Your friend, Jeff.

Why would you want to use this as a just a Bluetooth speaker? It’s not like the speaker is anything special

I wonder how good this could be made if someone spent a bit of time on it. Mono is a no go for me but I love the fact that it loads like a CD player and apparently way back in the 60s the car entertainment systems would play 7" vinyl in a similar fashion. The wow & flutter is because the record was off centre which happens a lot with vinyl (normally requires a nudge with a fingernail)

what are the odds that the chinese put out landfill fodder with no mind to quality, it's almost like they're a bunch of eco-terrorists or something. not quite as bad as bottled air and not as disgusting as gutter oil, but still disheartening to see so much waste put out as brand new products.

The UK plug is a poorly-designed abomination. It needn't have been so large at all.

Okay I would definitely buy this player but before playing a record I’d adjust the Spring inside to what you did. I love the design of the player and basically all my 45s are scratched up anyway. But $59 is way to pricey for me

I do believe this sort of thing is made for antique hot rods or atleast it would be worth modifying one to mount up under a dash and run on 12 v if you can somehow adjust the tracking force for starters lol I'd love to listen to one of these cruzing around in a 50s /60s hot rod just needs some tlc to be propper...

I think the fact that you could not replace the stylus was incorporated into it’s design due to the fact that the average user would soon get sick of trying to use the player and would end up chucking it in landfill long before the stylus had even depleted!

As flimsy and problematic this thing is, it would actually be an ideal companion for record collectors hunting cheap 45s. By taking it to thrift stores, you could be checking out records in a more elegant way than using a suitcase-style player, and since it has a rechargable battery built in, it can be used anywhere without hassle. It's actually a neat device when its working as it should.

that is a cute looking machine, but the sound quality "I'm a ham and gmrs operator" is just crap. if it had output jacks, I'd hook up a good pair of pioneer's speakers and the sound would clear right up lol.

You'd think that a designer of a product like this would say "we have a really cheap speaker in there and plan to put a Bluetooth radio in it, so why not net people connect to their Bluetooth speakers so get much better sound"? My theory is that the engineers knew that it would sound horrible and sound much more obviously so via a 35+ dollar Bluetooth speaker, so they forced it through the tiny speaker and left it in so that they could advertise the fact that it has Bluetooth and make a few sales from people assuming that it was a Bluetooth transmitter.

Just wanting to let you know that your record player doesn't "randomly scrape" when you put a record for the first time, and it doesn't play. I noticed that when you play a large holed record after a small-holed record, and the other way around too, the mechanism certainly adjust the center spindle to accept the record you attempted to play, so when you put it back again, it will play! I agree it's not terrible quality. Nothing's like a good strong direct drive table (like the one I use in my videos)...

There was a metal block on the other end of the tonearm. Maybe if someone puts there something of 1-2 grams it will track less heavy?

Hmmmm....would a pfanstiehl 793-d7 stylus work even better? It's like the TEAC ones but with a diamond tip, assuming you've lightened the tracking force to 6 something grams

The only company that I know of that made styrene records was a company in New York called Bestway. They made many of the Bell singles, along with the Golden Books records for kids.
The problem with styrene records was they were delicate and easily damaged.
I've had a large number of Bestway Amy/Mala/Bell/Flashback/Sphere Sound singles and the only way I could play them and not risk damage to them is with a Magnetic cartridge with a diamond stylus tracking at less than three grams (usually at 1.5 grams).
