I realize this presentation was quite a few years ago, and maybe the language is cleaned up these days, but I had to turn it off due to too much crudeness. Foul, degraded language ruins any speech or conversation.

I was born in 1970, unfortunately it was a thing as I was coming up that people said, oh that's a man's job, or oh that's a woman's job, and my mother knew this so she began teaching me from a very young age, like 3years old, she would tell me "don't you ever let anyone tell you that you" cant" do something because you are a girl, you can do anything, any job, that a man can do if you set your mind to do it". That was branded into my spirit, because she didn't want me to hold myself back or not try something because society says only men can do it, like drive a forklift and load trucks, like work on cars, like construction. I'm very adept at all three. It isn't such a big thing anymore because people just don't care. We are far enough beyond the women's rights movement and equal rights that nobody really pays attention to whether or not your job is most commonly held by the opposite sex as you, they are more worried about what sex they are going to be, than what job they have when they finally decide. America has deeeeper issues than if a woman is doing a "man's job".

i have a question i would love to ask BEN that i have never seen anybody ask.
Does he have an answer about how we can get past the radicals, (left or right), who use violence, yelling, interruption, cancellation and so on, to stop us being heard or to stop us giving our opinions, (but mainly the violence,) I mean he know's what i am talking about as he faces all these things everyday, but much worse. He has the finances, support system, etc to help him face them, THE REST OF US DO NOT, face much of this especially violence when/if we try. its scary for most of us, not to mention the danger to our families. If this could be....helped/managed....you would see a lot more people standing up to be heard etc.

When applying for a job, the employer looks for the person who will do it best. Why wouldnt they? They want their company, service, team, product etc to be a success, and by ensuring their process results in hiring the best people in the right positions, they will maximise the chances of that happening.
It would also be advantageous to their career as a refection of personal success.

One could assume that a person who is responsible for and confident that they can achieve the above, is intelligent enough to have already gained an understanding of how discrimination based on sex, race etc. Only decreases their chances of success.

The world has moved foward now, and most people regard a person's skin colour in the same way they do their hair colour....both are irrelevent in terms of what a person has to offer as a partner, employee, member of society etc, nor does such dictate who a is & what their individual values, traits, intelligence or disposotion might be.

In fact id say that being a racist is far more likely to garner judgement from people about those things.
Racism & any other discriminatory views & practices are viewed in a very negative light by the majority of people. And that being the case, in general, it is racists and people like that who are likely to be given less opportunities to get ahead in life these days.

The carbon tax is a bad idea. It's just a money grab for the government. The cost is passed down to the consumer at every level, utilities, food, consumer goods etc. Cost of living has skyrocketed in Canada due to this and the government doesn’t care. I doubt that any of the money is used to improve the environment.
