I had xmp turned to profile one for about a year on this board and one day my PC won't boot says theres a boot failure but I only have one boot drive no other drives show and switches from CPU to dram light back and forth. All ram works fine had this ram running 3200 on this board works fine until now. Help

Hello, do you know if in the advanced CPU settings -> active turbo ratios:
-K CPUs could be underclocked?
-Even better, can non-K CPUs be underclocked?(Underclocking not overclocking.)


As 12/13th gen CPUs seem to be more locked down than older CPUs (which could be underclocked even for non-K CPUs.)

I would like to find out if current hardware still allows that, for K and/or non-K CPUs, as I don't like how any i7/i9 model pumps high clocks and therefore voltages, which makes them very inefficient.
And if B boards which show the 'turbo ratio' options cannot even underclock any CPU, even for K models, then that would mean I need to shell out money for a Z board for my next PC build. Thank you if you have the spare time to try this out.

Edit: Also means I need to pay for overbuilt VRMs and USB/M.2 slots that I don't use anyway. Even a bottom-tier board would be enough for what I do, so I would like to find out if underclocking is possible. Currently my i7 11700F would provide 90% of i5-11400 multicore at less than 50% power usage. I also don't like how we are forced to use a lot of power even for single threaded loads, because power limit wouldn't really limit clock speeds in this situation.

XMP profile was disabled and you said we want to enable that. Why?

Bro am i reading this right? You bought 3600 C18 ram? Guys don't ignore the latency. 3200 C16 ram is actually faster and cheaper than 3600 c18. You end up paying more for slower ram!!

What is the performance of this cpu on this strange mobo? Limited Vrm, no colled. Max for i3 office using. Budget i5 is limited too. See other videos. For sane price better go to other model. Not make a sense with this cpu man.
