How do you figure out this stuff if you don't have a graphing calculator?

I watch this as a refresher from geometry and trig in 1960s.

currently taking college trig class and couldn't figure out why whenever i plugged in my numbers my answer for B1 was way off. I just had to put my calculator in degrees instead of radian. smh
