one look at the hair, the sparkles and his flamboyant dance moves and ya just know
David Johansen from Staten Island
ОтветитьHow come we never saw The Mask dancing to this song?😅
ОтветитьI remember someone at my senior prom back in 2008 got the dj to play this song i can truly say i was not disappointed
ОтветитьI still have and listen to his first album...Hot, Hot, Hot...Ole, ole...party time. Maybe it was the era but I was young and looking for any reason to dance and party.
ОтветитьLined up mouths, I can work with that
ОтветитьI’m still shocked that this is David Johansson lmao. I kinda love it
Ответить10 Years Since My Last Cruise. I need a Cruise. 😂❤
ОтветитьI will always remember dancing with the Waiters on a Cruise through the Dining Room on this Hot Hot Hot Night. So much Fun. 😂❤
ОтветитьOne of the Best times in my Life. ❤I miss it.
ОтветитьYes This Definitely needs to be My Song Getting Off work. I saw someone say that. But It would be even more Exciting knowing I was Leaving my Shitty Job for a week Cruise . 😂❤😊
Ответитьas a Hispanic American I have to ask...did he just culturally appropriate my music???
I hated this song when it first came out in the 80's but over time have learned to like it. especially for its Latin rhythms.
Oh my gosh it’s bill Murray from ghostbusters!!!
ОтветитьI always thought this was the same guy from Car 54, Where are you? and Scrooged.
ОтветитьIt's soooo hot in LA! Listening in September 2024.
ОтветитьIt blew my mind when I realized he is the same guy who is cabbie from Scrooged
Ответитьthe first time I saw the MV, I thought he was Jim Carrey.
ОтветитьLove the shot at the beginning of the bridge at dusk. Funny he mentions the Dolls too. 😂😂
ОтветитьMy first grade teacher would play this song and "Under the Sea" every morning in class before the day started 😂
ОтветитьWe used to bug the band on the Cruise Ship to play this song several times 😂 They obliged us 😊
Ответитьi had no idea this guy was white hah
ОтветитьCastro felling oh
Oh Lord 6filling hot5hot hot6
I loved that Jimmy Buffett and The Coral Reefer Band used this song to whip the crowd into a frenzy just prior to taking the stage. I can envision the whole scene… beach balls flying around, the smell of draft beer and sunscreen, coconut bras and grass skirts and brightly colored Hawaiian shirts with shark fins and parrots perched atop hats and shoulders. We had stilt walkers, and video of the tailgate party featuring truck bed swimming pools and generator-powered blenders. Man, I miss Jimmy Buffett and I will always miss this song that served as an intro to the biggest party on the planet.
ОтветитьThe strange inception that happens when you realize a punk pioneer from Staten Island released this under a pseudonym
ОтветитьStill better than most today's music, unfortunately.
ОтветитьDavid Johansen has said he loves this song for the money - hates this song cuz it sucks lol
ОтветитьGET IT Buster!!!
ОтветитьToo tame. Put a little energy into it! JK.
ОтветитьThis reminds me of going to Barbados as a little kid and watch the hot older woman dance on stage with fire sticks and doing the limbo 😂
ОтветитьI heard this song on King of the hill
ОтветитьRock coat baby
ОтветитьAYE QUEEE RERRRRRRRRIIIICCCCOOOOO!
ОтветитьAm I the only one who heard this alot while at Six Flags?
ОтветитьDan akroyd here got bill
Murray to do the caneo
As an 11 year old I hated this song. As a 48 year old peri menopausal woman, I have a newfound appreciation for this song. 🥵 🤣💯
ОтветитьTo this very day I’m still in love with all those girls and the music too
ОтветитьThis song was huge in the 80s
ОтветитьPure 80s
ОтветитьI took a cruise (on the SS Dolphin IV) for spring break in 1991. This song and Billy Idol's cover of "Mony Mony" were played hourly every night in the dance club. Good times!
ОтветитьWhy is bill Murray in the video
ОтветитьNYC in the 80s, you couldn't do anything remotely fun without Bill Murray crashing it. lol
ОтветитьDavid Johanssen was very under rated and very talented, maybe not in that order. He was in a movie called "Let it Ride" starring Richard Dreyfuss and Teri Garr. I highly recommend that movie.
ОтветитьThis song is basically the YMCA of the 80s. Love it
ОтветитьToo fun!
ОтветитьDude just shut down ALL the buttrock bands with that intro..
ОтветитьStill aeesome
