Is there any way to turn off the metronome ticking so as it doesn't tick throughout the recording? I suppose one simple way may be to wear earphones so the mic can't pick the sound up?

@Justin10473 You need them, you get them. You don't, then you don't. Why would you have something you have little to no use for? Apple has always been about "if it isn't needed, it isn't there", if you do need it, get the adapter for it. Also if they had a USB port then everyone would expect it to work like a Mac or PC where you can plug everything into it and it just works like on their computer. But it won't, so they don't include it for that reason too.

@Justin10473 Yes, you should. Just because you spend $500 on something doesn't automatically mean you should get everything you ever wanted it to have. That's a nice sense of entitlement right there. Also if you're spending that kind of cash then $30 isn't going to make much difference now is it?

@Justin10473 No, i just see their point of not including something that most people won't ever need, but if you do, there's an option available to you. Check out the competitions pricing. Far less for far more. Also a USB port is actually about as thick as this thing is.

@SimUK In the recording screen, you'll see the little wrench icon at the top right. Just uncheck the metronome and intro ticking.

@wwcomputerrepair If you look at the beginning of the video, you'll see an iPad on the right hand side of the screen with a green arrow below it. The arrow and text will notify you which recording method is active. If you plug in a USB mic through the camera adapter, it'll point to the bottom dock. If you use a headset or 3.5 plug in mic, it'll point to the jack. If nothing's plugged in... it points to the internal mic hole.

How do you know it is recording from the snowflake and not from the internal mic on the iPad? You need to show that it is in fact using the right mic
