As a life long shroomer I think ringless honeys are definitely a starter.
ОтветитьI have a bunch of mushrooms that appear to be armillaria melea, growing in several places at my new home. So, I am very grateful for this i.d. video! I appreciate it!
Ответить"It just fell..." 🤣
ОтветитьHow would you prepare honey mushrooms as food? Cook them, throw away cooking water, then fry with onions? I hear you can only eat the young specimens, the older ones are too though.
ОтветитьThanks to this video and other back up sources i have a regular honey mushrooms spot i go to every year they are a huge part of my winter diet i love to pickle them in a clasic dill pickle brine it's a staple and its always sad when the season is over thank you for all your amazing videos this is such amazing content :)

ОтветитьI found these today when I was out mushroom hunting I found 50+ lbs of hen, 10 or 15lbs of some chicken ( that I left ), 4lbs of lion mane, one tiny tiny white coral, and at least a 100+ lbs of honey cap ( which I was not knowledgeable about so they got left behind)... I only found 1 turkey tail today to but I saw at least 5 or 10 lbs of it yesterday haha came back and it was gone someone beat me to it

ОтветитьOh I forgot to tell you we are a Polish family and we call them Popinki..
ОтветитьThanks. My grandmother mother aunts we would go when I was little and pick them. We would get a good amount and my mother would clean them and cook them. They had a bit of a slimy texture but I loved them. We are in Massachusetts.

Ответитьwhat is the best way to get a spore print ? thank you
ОтветитьI have some yellow mushrooms growing in clusters on woody tree roots that go out into the grass. They are not growing on bark or tree trunks. Could these be edible honeys?
ОтветитьStraightforward. Great video my dude
ОтветитьWell done. I love foraging for mushrooms all year round. King Stropharia, Oysters, chicken and hen of the woods, puffballs - you name it. I never really considered honey mushrooms a choice edible, though. Virtually certain I found them in large quantity yesterday - but left them alone as I had plenty of chicken of the woods and a giant puffball in my collection bag already.
ОтветитьThanks, you helped me ID one of the beautiful mushrooms that I've been finding, the pholiota mushroom, a golden beauty, commonly known as the shaggy scalycap, the shaggy, not to be eaten with alcohol!
ОтветитьJust found a bunch of garlicas 10/16/20
ОтветитьVery informative! Thank you!
ОтветитьThank you for the information, you are very helpful!
