Honestly (for thebmost part) you can't go wrong with Switch games. You'll maybe find some duds. But everything else is a safe choice

Quick tip for pretty much all nintendo systems. Dont play AAA games like fortnite or Ark on it. Its not worth it trust me. Just stick with Zelda, Kirby, Mario, etc. The graphics on games like fortnite and Ark are so terrible that its not even worth giving it a shot

Mario odyssey and mario kart 8 DX
Kirby and the forgotten land(Return to dreamland deluxeis great, but it’s a remake anyway)
And to the best game series
Pikmin 1+2, Pikmin 3 deluxe, and Pikmin 4

Notice how the legend of Zelda is not included I think those games are kinda confusing and boring

First of all- those games are only ever suggested because of popularity and thats why people buy it, to suggest a game start with a few of your preferences and the style of it so THEY can choose if they want it. Also i recommend getting an older pokemon game like sword and sheild or brilliant diamond and shining pearl so its cheaper, then you can choose for yourself if you want to invest in a better version

I’m all about indie games on Switch baby. Super Mario and other first party games really didn’t intrigue me that much except for Zelda games. I have no interest at all with Pokemon games bcs wtf are those graphics? Barebone and they charge 50-70 for that? I wouldn’t mind if they made in anime manga style rather than 3d. “Ohh its the story” yeah yeah plenty of story driven game out here. Death’s Gambit, Blade Assault, TOTK, Dead Cells, Narita Boy, Ruiner, Dredge, Akane, Hades, Octopath Traveller 2, Chained Echoes, Trifox, Deflector and many more. I used to wonder why people buy Switch but after owning it myself, the library is such a wander! I advice anyone to dive into indie games bcs the experience is just 👨🏻‍🍳🤌🏼

If u like Zelda check for immortals Fenyx Rising. I consider it like the missing third piece to the botw/totk tri-force, completing the cycle.

Every game on the switch is overpriced. You just named 4 games which are 3 and 4 years old and all are still 60$. Boycotting this is a better idea

i respect breath of the wild but i personally didnt like it. it looks great but i also realize i am just much more of a linear-game fan.

A lot of the good games on switch are ports from the Eii u, you can get the Wii u versions for like $20 cheaper but theres less features
