Drug Classifications - Overview of the Classification of Medications (PTCB PTCE CPhT Test Prep)

i am still watching (albeit a bit late on this one) but...i credit Amanda for her part (a huge one) in teaching me so much about pharmacy and medications! i passed the test on my first try, but feel like I need a refresher now and then. So, keep these coming and since there are some newer medications (the semiglutides, for instance) maybe add some of these potent, for many helpful, and often very expensive not yet generic meds. Our patients ask a lot of questions about them, and I'm always surprised at how little their prescribers explain to them when writing the scripts. This includes the blood thinners, which are old medications with fancier names (and higher costs like Jantoven) and possibly even now OTC life savers like Narcan. Thanks so much again Amanda, and to any who might be reading this, I was a mess the day of my test, and had to read all the questions twice to make sure I didn't mess it up. My former employer only paid if I passed, and many of my coworkers didn't pass mostly due to overconfidence. It's okay to be nervous! You have 2 hours and can't tske anything into the classroom but yourself! So, study as much as you can on your own (my pharmacists didnt have the time to explain things to me). You will pass!!
