So i also try to build a shelter with a bark roof. But my roof is alot steeper and i dont find any good way to fix the bark. I tried woodnails, thorns, rasberrie vines. Nothing really works properly ?
Is there a good way to make a bark roof stay on top ?
I love all the vids Ted. Bella!!!! Hey, who makes that nata knife you’re using to remove the bark?
ОтветитьWhat was the black chunk you sawed off the tree?
ОтветитьWow, your on another level, great work, solid shelter and your dog is awesome too. Thank you for sharing.
Ответить💕❤️🥰 amazing video Ted, thx for sharing🐕🚣♀️
ОтветитьLove the work you put into your shelters! And into your videos too!
ОтветитьVery satisfying to see that bark come off so clean… and the beautiful timber underneath.
I heard elsewhere that it’s dangerous to camp under a root ball.
What are dtinking in jug or jar typ...you cut out in black clr from tree ...like tea type
ОтветитьYou were quiet for so long and when you spoke, I don't know why ...but I was really surprised when you started speaking English. I expected one of the Slavic languages or something. I'm enjoying the whole ruffing it vicariously though 😊
Ответитьwow this is amazing
ОтветитьVery Cool ! :)
Ответить👍👍🌟🌟🌟🌟👍👍
ОтветитьYour not alone. You have Bella! Your lucky. Thanks
ОтветитьVim pelo ifunny.
ОтветитьThere is something so fascinating and cool about watching the peeling of a tree
ОтветитьIm from Indonesia,heloo guys...🙏
Ответитьvery adventerous
ОтветитьBig fan sir....
Love from Bangladesh ❤️
A site rich in materials.
A classic accommodation.
Somewhere in Canada, there is a whole forest of skinned trees. Lol
ОтветитьGreat video. I also like your Michigan UP hat.
ОтветитьSoo many dead leaves. A debris Shelter would have been faster, warmer and if done right more watertight.
Cool technique though.
the way you peel the bark is so satisfying to me
ОтветитьThis is great. But is there a 1000% DEET formula? Because I'm scratching just watching.
ОтветитьFinally had the time to be able to sit and watch this video, I can say I really needed this trip to the bush with Bella and yourself, another spectacular shelter, They always look so toasty cozy, IC Bella approves lol tail just a wagging, Her and those steaks lmao guess she got hungry watching you Mmmmm bacon wrapped filet mignon love it. The loon calls use to freak me out at night when it was dark and silent, I found it an eerie sound at first, now I enjoy them, Lol that growth on the tree . Hey really enjoyed this
ОтветитьSoo tired
ОтветитьTICKS ! Those Deer Ticks especially. Nasty. They're the only thing that really bug me. There seems to be more than ever here (The New Forest. UK) and despite the spray etc. you still have to check your back, sac & crack. Any good tips ? More spray ? emigrate ?
ОтветитьGreat video
ОтветитьGreat use of local elements to build the shelter. Another great shelter "Built" by Ted. Lol.
ОтветитьIs there drainage in the front? It's probably just the camera, but it looks like a down hill slope straight into the shelter.
And have you read about the roofs settlers used to make back in the day? They would use the bark from the trees felled for the long house as temporary shingles. I also just read a book about a settler, and they used to hollow out logs, like mini dig out canoes, but with open ends, then alternate up and down, and overlapping, which could last for years. Really interesting stuff.
Now that is just down right genius! Thank you so much, that oak bark slab is pretty much "water proof" I gottah do this trick! SWEET!
ОтветитьGreat video as usual
ОтветитьI’m clowning
ОтветитьLook I can stay one night in the woods. Someone give him a backpack tent. That’s all he did in one hour with his survival gear. One night one hit wonder right. City boy
ОтветитьA really wonderful build and I love to watch Bella's antics. 💯❤👍
ОтветитьI know why Bella loves helping you build stuff…a never ending supply of sticks! 🤣
ОтветитьYeah its really yummy because u eating with a ghost....

ОтветитьPoor man did you have on bug spray the black flies were awful... very awesome shelter. What do you
Use to protect you and your dog against the black Flies
Awesome shelter! Thanks for bringing us along.
ОтветитьAnother awesome video! Those black flies!!! As a fellow ginger, they would have eaten me alive! I’m from Oregon, but spent summers in the 1980’s in Hazelton, BC while my dad built a log house. I would have huge welts on my arms and face! Did that happen to you as a child? Over time do people have less of a reaction to the bites? You don’t seem to be phased by them!! Also, liked seeing what the Built bars look like inside!
ОтветитьReally enjoy watching these videos peeling bark and building shelters!! Love how Bella gets right in the middle of your tasks. Such a happy dog! Bella the bark watcher! LOL
ОтветитьDid you and your brother ever go look at that chest in the river in Britt that I told you about?
ОтветитьGross wants to watch you rip apart meat off a stick
ОтветитьNoice!
ОтветитьPretty cool man!!
