Boracay Island - Philippines Malay - The Good, the Bad & the Ugly - Full Walking Tour

I have mixed emotions with Boracay. It's a beautiful location which has caused mass tourism to the location. To be expected, I know. But tourists and locals alike really need to start picking up their rubbish and looking after the area better. It's a pity to swim in the sea or walk on the beach only to find rubbish everywhere.

In this walking tour, we start on the quiet East side which was where our accommodation was. Very peaceful side of the island. I believe from what I saw, it's the surfing side of the island. There was always a nice breeze and plenty of sailing on this side.
There's a ridiculously famous leaning tree here also. It has it's own Google maps location....

I make my way through most of the town before reaching Station 2. Station 2 is always very busy, being the centre of the action. This walking tour was captured in the morning. It's just too busy to show you the area if I did it any other time. Especially valentines weekend.

From station 2, I traveled South through station 3 which I must say, I prefer over all Boracay stations. There are more Filipinos here and smaller bars / restaurants (I normally spend no time around foreigner dense areas in PH). It's also nice that there's less people!

Overall the guys selling you stuff was extremely annoying. I get they've got to make a living. But it really ruins the video when I've got to reply to them. Yes I could ignore them but no matter who they are or what they're doing I always try to give a pleasant response.

Overall Boracay is a bit of a tourist trap. But it's easily avoided if you're not silly with your money. Just a pity you can't have a relaxing walk without a lot of salesmen coming up to you.
