Martin Sturm, b. 1992 in Velburg, Bavaria, winner of numerous international competitions: u. a. 1st prize and special prize for the best performance on historical organs of the Interpretation Competition of Internationale Orgelwoche Nürnberg 2018, 1st Prize of the International Improvisation Competition Schwäbisch Gmünd 2017, 1st Prize of the Improvisation Competition of the International Organ Festival St Albans 2013. 2018 "Bavarian Culture Prize" by Bayernwerk AG under the patronage of the Bavarian Ministry of Science and Art, 2017 sponsorship award from the Keck-Köppe Foundation of the University of Würzburg for "exceptional artistic achievements". International concert activity as an interpreter and improviser, numerous CD, radio and television productions.

2019 Sturm was appointed professor for organ and improvisation at the University of Music "Franz Liszt" Weimar, previously teaching at the universities in Würzburg and Leipzig, numerous courses and lectures. Just as intensive work as a composer. Co-editor of „organ - Journal for the organ“, consultant for numerous new organ building projects and restorations. Study of church music at HfM Würzburg with Prof. Christoph Bossert as well as concert exam studies at the HMT Leipzig with Prof. Martin Schmeding and Prof. Thomas Lennartz as a scholarship holder of the German National Academic Foundation.
