If you don’t mind, an oddly specific question 😂:
Ala Terrence Malick/Chivo “Tree of Life”, you’re about to shoot into the shadow side of actors backlit by sun. You’ll have an 8x8 ultra bounce, but minimal crew so you don’t want to depend on the bounce, and know you may need to artfully lift shadows in post (no silhouette shots).

Trusting your gut, do you grab the Gemini or the c70?

LOL, I’m prepping for two very low-budget shorts, one on set on a beach & the other on a dry lakebed and own a Z Cam F6 — I love the workhorse of a cam, but shadow latitude is not one of it’s many strengths. Any feedback would be appreciated!

C70 is a beast! Honestly I was going to go for a Gemini... and even though I think overl all is perhaps a better cinema camera... I wonder if I should may be go for the C70...? 🤔

the c70 is good in the shadows but the highlight rolloff is so harsh in comparison to the gemini..

That Canon sensor is a winner. its a shame they dont have a full frame version yet. I wish the mirrorless had the same DR even though the R3 is supposed to be pretty good compared to Sony.

So how many stops would you say each has? 13ish for komodo/a7sii, 14ish for gemini/c70?
