The Dark Knight and Ironman came out in the same year! DC and Marvel's most important movies that broke the barriers and showed what comic book movies could achieve. What a full circle moment to see Chris Nolan onstage and RDJ right there, and then 15 years later they would both win awards for the same movie at this event.

In my opinion he definitely deserved that 100%

if not for Heath, Tropic Thunder would get some major awards that year.

Heath Ledger didn't deserve it for Brokeback Mountain or I'm not There though? Maybe they gave it to him because they knew he wouldn't work again to be nominated again? The Academy is fickle they gave the last Joker an Oscar too he was probably better as Johnny Cash or in Gladiator though.
