The Flutterbye Flying Fairy is an interactive new toy that really flies and puts the control of the flight right in the palm of your hand. After you open it up, insert the batteries into the base and connect the charging cord to the fairy and insert it into the base. Turn the unit to the "on" position and make sure the switch on the fairy itself is set to "off". It will take about 30 minutes to get a full charge. When the fairy is charging, the light on the unit will blink red. It will glow orange when it's fully charged. Remove the charging cord, turn off the base, and when you're ready to play, turn on the switches on both the base and the fairy. With the fairy in the base, press the launch button. The light will blink green once and the fairy will lift off. Put your hand under the fairy to control her flight.

When the fairy is first launched, it will fly up. As it starts to descend, that's when you can control it with your hand. When you want to stop, simply catch the fairy by her legs and press the button on her legs to stop the flight. When you're finished flying, turn both the base and the fairy off. We found you'll get about 15 minutes of flight before it needs to be recharged, and you'll know it needs a charge because the fairy won't fly or have as much energy when it needs to launch. When the batteries in the base are low, the light will blink green. Simply replace, recharge, and you're ready for many more flying adventures.
