I have the wired Nest doorbell since 11 months and I am very satisfied with it. However, the Nest Aware Plus subscription with Google Home is very disapointing as it is impossible to select and create personnal videos, you have to settle with the event driven clips that the software determines, and those clips miss a lot of very valuable information. A lot of events are not captured by the software; also, there is no timeline of events that is provided wth the clips which is invaluable information for law enforcement.

I have had a Blink doorbell for a couple of years now. I came to this video because I need to replace this frustrating piece of technology. Every couple of months I have to set up the camera from scratch. It takes a long time to set the thing up so that it didn't trigger every time a car passed. Stay away from Blink.

I'm heavily invested in the Amazon ecosystem and during the recent Prime days the Blink doorbell and Sync Module 2 were less than $50 ($47.49 to be exact) together. I don't want to pay for cloud storage and already had a 64GB flash drive sitting around. To me, it's mostly just an upgrade of my doorbell from the 1990's. It may not have all the bells and whistles of the others but for under $50 I got a new doorbell with some video capabilities that easily works with all my other Amazon devices.

One point that reviewers often miss is that google doorbell doesn't display an incoming door ringing in the form of a call but rather in the form of a notification which isn't practical if you have thousands of rubbish notifications from different apps you will miss the people ringing the doorbell. This is a deal breaker for people with multiple houses or those traveling often😢

Dude, this is the best video review I've seen. Thank you for great content. Only topic I'd include is customer support. If there's an issue, how easy is it to contact them and resolve the issue. Ring isn't great but Wyze is completely useless because you can't reach out to them at all. I know they weren't in the review, just used them as an example because their video doorbell I bought is still sitting in the box 😂
