I thought the DE was an experiment. It's too heavy to be of any practical use, not to mention the limited ammo capacity. But maybe it helps to bolster it's owners ego...

The Polish GROM were reported to have had some in their inventory, though there wasn't any data on uses or purpose. Being that nations special forces it would seem that it has in some way been issued to military, just not in a widespread way. I forget where I heard about this, probably the Wiki.

I called it the "Friendly Gun". Whenever I went to the range with mine, people came over to see what made that crazy boom. Because of the rotating and locking bolt, it sends a slug with way more energy then a wheel gun. Just make sure you use the right ammo or the slide will not cycle right.

And yet they sell them like crazy and most people that say it’s a flop just can’t afford one.

I live in a small Bush, Alaska town. The doctors who come in to our hospital for a six month to year rotation usually do all the "Alaska things", buy a boat, snogo, and yup; big guns. I have managed to purchase two of these, one .44 and one in the mighty .50AE. Takes some getting used to but entirely shootable. I use a chest holster when riding out to the Yukon on my snogo and picking berries in the Fall out on the tundra. Not at all a flop; but I've found most who declare the DE a flop, don't own one or actually use one.

They are nice show and conversation pieces as they are some of the most beautiful guns on the market, but I have never seen one shoot four magazines without a malfunction. I would depend on one in a life or death situation. Like most comment, they are too big and heavy for anything but bragging rights.

I've had 2 desert eagles. Both .44 mag. One was gold the other od green. Like all gun guys I traded it for a Cadillac. One is a nightmare to run properly. The other is the same but a gun. I still have the green gun. But it's reliability makes it a range toy or safe queen.

I personally recommend any of the far cry games that feature the desert eagle. For a game that's a bit of a tactical shooter is going to feel a little bit more realistic and probably be closer to the real life firing of the desert eagle. Depending on which far cry you can modify it with like an extended barrel or a suppressor.

There is also rainbow six siege, but the desert eagle is exclusive to only a couple of operators. I went to his detection of that game you're better off playing any single player game featuring that weapon.

And of course it's also featured in call of duty but for a game that's very arcadey, don't expect any accuracy to that weapon except for maybe in modern warfare 1 -3 the reboots. But at least in the call of duty franchise it can be modified q bit more. It's also pretty decent and cod mobile which has that balance of realism while still being an arcade game when it comes to the weapons. Also if you're one of those people that's been crying for Black ops 2 to make a return, the game is literally Black ops 2 but with advanced warfare & modern warfare assets. Literally, it is literally, I don't mean in the hyperbolic sense, I mean it's literally Black ops 2 if you took some of the guns and some of the scorestreaks from advancing modern warfare and just shoved them into Black ops 2. But on your phone.

Yeah.. That's why I only use it for Eco rounds.

One thing, the desert eagles, not a flop. It’s excellent gun I love mine shoots awesome I’ve never had any issues. It’s amazing.

You know nothing about the Deagle. Just because your soft hands can't handle a big gun doesn't mean there's something wrong with the Deagle. Surprisingly, im extremely accurate with my .50 Deagle. Even more so than my 9mm G19X. The Deagle isn't meant for everyone. It's definitely not a "GO to war" gun. It's a "you broke into the wrong house 1 shot and you're done" firearm. At this point, I'm pretty sure I could use it in a gun fight because I've gotten so accurate with it.
