Mark hello and love the videos, used to saw some on a 00 frick, i did notice that you NEVER take a 9/4 down to 2 4/4's, does a hydralic mill not set the dogs back enough?? Just a need to know for my feeble brain ...........?

I can't imagine why I like watching these so much! But I do. I have watched some others with the moving band saw and they are boring! Your commentary and having more mechanical stuff to play with makes it more interesting. Keep it up!

If your saw blade hits a bullet shell or small piece of metal does it screw the blade ?

I just discovered your channel about a week and a half ago, and I'm really glad I did! I've watched a bunch of your videos since then...very interesting and enjoyable!! You really are good at what you do!! You make it look easy, but I know you worked hard to get to your level of expertise! I really like how you explain how, what and why you do everything while you're doing it. It's really interesting to see how you turn logs into lumber. I know I'm gonna be a frequent viewer of your videos!! By the way, my names Thomas, and I'm a new, and big fan!! Thanks so much!

Nice saw, well cut. There is only one problem when you cut up a log like that. Ya end up with a bunch of oak in the end. One of my very least favorite wood species.

Ever thought of clear coating first as a primer to fill the grains? Then do normal paint and clear coat on top.

Why is it a mystery log because you can't see the rings in the log to know how old the tree is?

Thankful that bus motor fan was blowing away from the blade and saved Eddie’s dapper hat from being modified. Always good seeing you gentlemen working together. Sorry there are so many negative people out there... I do not understand why out of 9,700 views you have only received 1,700 👍🏼’s ... I just don’t understand people.

Wishing you, Eddie and ZZ and your families a blessed Memorial Day holiday filled with gentle seasonally appropriate weather and restful evenings with family and friends. Peace Mark

Hey Mark and Eddie, great demonstration of the Doyle log scale and how the scale calculations compare to the actual lumber yield. You guys got pretty close considering the loss of footage in the edgings. Even though the odor of the wood was bad, the oak log yielded some beautiful boards. Thanks for another great sawing video.

175 out of 181. About 97%. Not bad considering the taper and the crook.

if you use white instead of red oak for the signs, you won't have the issue of the paint absorption
