Smash that Subscribe! -- My answer for today's question: I remember it vividly, strangely enough being that I'm 35.. I remember going to a friend's house and he had a computer with Doom and AOL. I was amazed. I went home, found an ad from one of the local electronics store and asked for a PC. We weren't rich, but I was insistent and they got me one. Of course, I began gaming and playing Doom/Doom 2, but I really wanted to make my own levels and doom characters. I guess you can say that was my first experience actually creating something on the PC. From there, I got into coding, design, etc..
ОтветитьHey, may I please know which software do you use to record your screen and yourself together? Is it just one software? I like that you integrate seamlessly with the screen, no circle or anything, the background is transparent -- I like that. I might create dev tutorials and gaming walkthroughs on my channel and so looking for a nice screen/camera recording application that works on a mac. Thanks.

ОтветитьInstead of justify-items and align-items, you can also use place-items: center and it'll behave the same way.

ОтветитьI really don't like the use of empty span for styling the "halfcircle". Is there a way to get rid of this markup? I searched the internet and found appearance property, and if you set it to none in input[type=checkbox] selector it will clear the default style. after that you can style the label element as a containter (<label>option-name<input type=checkbox></lebel>) and use :before/:after pseudo class to style the halfcircle. Is there any downside to my solution and is appearance property fully supported?
ОтветитьIs there’s a way to find the source code for this video ?
ОтветитьThanks Gary, I like your take on designing. I’ve learned a lot from your videos. I don’t understand why you used sass this time instead of plain css.
Ответитьyour videos are simple , elegant and useful, thank you and wish you the best :)
ОтветитьThanks for another great video. I always appreciate your videos on tools, design, and pure code techniques. I understand that there's an audience looking for framework and library videos. Gotta keep the content flowing and the bills paid. There is definitely a place for libraries and frameworks, but usually that place is not in my projects. Mostly it comes down to code accountability and verification. We have strict requirements in my field.
I am curious about the inclusion/use of sass in this video. I didn't notice anything that required it. Am I missing something?
You don't need to manually resize the window and place it to other side. You can do " windows(key) + arrow-keys " to snap the window to particular side.
