Now this is the type of shit that would get me to upgrade! I have no interest in spending hundreds just to play another rouge-like. Cyberpunk is already one of the most immersive games I've ever played. It's one of the few open-world games I just CAN NOT drive around in. I HAVE to walk everywhere because it feels like a real city that I need to explore. There are too many back allys and alternate vertical paths throughout the city for me to just drive by everything.

Is it usable on 3070?

Does anyone know why everyone keeps saying this game isn’t VR I’m not the best with tech but I really want this game and a vr for Christmas but I’m hearing a lot of I need a “mod” or pc to connect the game to vr . My Christmas budget is not that big this is even a stretch I plan on getting the Meta - Quest 2 Advanced All-In-One Virtual Reality Headset and the ofc cyberpunk 2077 is that all I need or do I need a “mod” or pc to download the game ?

If unpaid modders can can convert flatscreen games to VR at this level of quality then I don't understand why more dev teams aren't doing it (or hiring talented folks like this team to do it) with all manner of AAA games.

Is this the best VR game available with a Quest 3 or is there something else that surpasses this? Also, is Cyberpunk in Quest3 by itself or would this require connecting it to a good PC and SteamVR?

The only problem is there still aren't VR controls. Imagine cutting up enemies with mantis blades with your arms instead of the trigger button. These ports are amazing but we need some kind of tool to import native VR controls and then you never have to make a game for VR from the ground up.

For me the biggest problem with the mod is the Alternate Eye Rendering. I'd much rather have lower quality settings but real stereo rendering. The AER causes a lot of weird artifacts and stuttering. I hope this will come (or real full VR support at some point of course)

I have a 4090 so it should be playable just fine with low-medium settings and stereo.

This is amazing to see that it can run in VR. Very impressive.

I must be doing something wrong when i play this game in VR it runs like shit and is choppy and just bad. barely playable. the comments i read in the patron voice similar issues..

I tried myself the mod with my 3080 in 2432x2432 or under res, but I can't find the sweet spot between game resolution, pixel per density and graphics settings, it runs under 60 fps most of the time and has a lot of ghosting. I also get head sickness when I aim with guns because the aim is only shown in the right eye screen for some reason.

We needs games like this with native VR support. Mods are great but until companies add VR support this tech will never go mainstream. Wish I could afford a 4090 now.

Bought this early, read the reviews and played other things instead. With the advent of Phantom Liberty I finally decided to play it. Outstanding! At the point of no return and clearing up a few outstanding gigs. I will be getting the mod and doing a VR run straight away afterwards with a different life path. Can't wait. Hope Beardo chooses a different one too. Would be interesting to see it from another POV. 👍

What a wasted opportunity to not make this game VR compatible, this game begs to be on VR. The themes of this game, its story and the lore fits so well with VR technology, and it's already a 1st person game

When I hear someone say a game runs well, smooth, an exceptional performance and whatever... on a 4090... like he's on the same level as the rest of us... cue the eyeroll.

Question for anyone. Do I need to buy the game and then pay for the VR mod on top of that? What are the steps to get this set up? I have a gaming PC that runs Half Life Alyx fine and I have a Quest 3.
