I know it was mentioned a couple times by others, but Rad Racer was missed. It came out in 1987, & it's sequel, Rad Racer II, came out in 1990. It's pretty much a dead franchise, but I remember the first game well.

One thing you didn't really go over is how FF is probably in the best state its been in for years (in the west at least). Going into the 2010's, starting as early as honestly the mid 2000's, the series kinda "fell off". The ff7 remake, ff14, and ff16 really brought the series back into the mainstream popularity.

9 though? 9 is probably my favorite in the series. But 7 is way better than 8 to me. 8's characters are a lot flatter and the story was a lot more muddled and poorly told. It's not BAD, but not > 7 imo.

Just Cause is an action franchise that uses humour and action movie tropes to tell the story. My favourite is the third game.

Have to point out that there are actually 3 EVO games, starting with E.V.O. The Theory of Evolution on the NEC PC-98 which was a traditional RPG rather than an RPG Action Platformer.

Great video! Tho I'm kinda surprised you skipped over games like Vagrant Story and Threads of fate. Even tho they're both dead and one off games, they were hugely influential to how SE moved forward with how games were developed.

I thought Square had nothing to do with Lufia, why did they leave it alone? Much better than some of their other SNES games...including each FF game.

As interesting as I find Romancing Saga and Saga Frontier, I feel like they are different series/franchises... if they are not different then I'd say Octopath Traveler 2 is the same... but Saga Frontier seems like is Zombie tier...

SO Fun Fact Ray'z Series is more Zombie then Dead because it had a Rerelease of all of it's titles on PC and other things I'm sure Back in September 25, 2023. It's called Ray’z Arcade Chronology AND I only know this because I decided to look up Taito games. Now Yes it's not a new game just rereleased but in my mind I will always think that When you rerelease a game series you are trying to see if anyone is interested in it for a new Game. Not the best way to do it but hey VIDEO GAME PRESERVATION, It's important!
